A great experience overall with fantastic service and a wonderful ambiance. I was seated quickly and was impressed by the extensive menu. I ordered the lunch plate with St. Louis style ribs, beef brisket, and South Side rib tips, with a side of potato salad.
The service was excellent, and I appreciated the waiter honestly letting me know the rib tips might be on the dry side before I ordered. He was right, but I’m still glad I tried them. The St. Louis ribs were very flavorful and the definite highlight of the meats. The brisket was okay. On the side, the potato salad was just right, and the corn bread muffin that came with the meal was delicious! While I wasn’t a huge fan of the table BBQ sauces, the overall food was decent. A solid spot for a BBQ meal.

We had another amazing meal at Famous Dave’s. Tommy did a fantastic job being attentive to our foodie desires. In our group we had the Pork nachos, Chicken wings, beef tips and brisket. And don’t forget the world’s best Cornbread muffins!

Very disappointed in this experience. Waited 20 extra minutes from the time it said it should be ready. They said it was getting put up and still wasn’t out to me until almost 10 minutes later. Food is burnt To the point of being super dry and inedible. Couldn’t swallow it. Also Luke warm. Would have brought back but just didn’t want to wait any longer. Will be calling restaurant tomorrow for a refund. The restaurant wasn’t busy either. Saw 2 or 3 tables eating. A couple of people in line also waiting on their food. First girl was nice at least but 2nd girl didn’t offer any customer service.

We dined Sunday night, to my surprise my salad arrived at the same time as my entree, when I pointed out that the salad usually comes first, the server rather rudely replied that I had to specify that. I have never heard of this, the manager told me the server was supposed to ask. The server did not ask, again I have never heard of this. No apologies from either server or manager, I guess you’re supposed to eat your salad while your food gets cold

Went in for a birthday dinner but didn’t tell them it was a birthday because we’re not big fans of making a fuss but someone else had a birthday that had one of those big sparkles so that was good enough for us. We ordered the feast for 2 and a kids chicken strips and we had a good amount of food left over. We substituted the coleslaw out for pineapple but it was amazing! There was a half rack of ribs, 3 corn bread muffins, fries, pulled pork, brisket, yummy baked beans, half a rotisserie chicken, two corn cob sections, and the substituted pineapple. Thank goodness they had wet wipes there at the table and a whole roll of paper towels because we put them to good use! The feast for 2 will cost you around $50 but will feed a family of 4 with little to no issues. Service was fast and the food was delicious!

Our waiter was very inattentive and cared little for our experience throughout the night. Didn’t check us on once the entire meal and had to go find a different employee to fill drinks. Ordered catfish fingers that were basically a big piece of breading and the waiter never delivered the sauce so I ate them plain. The St. Louis spare ribs were one step away from being entirely inedible. Couldn’t bite through it if you tried, dry and flavorless. Two employees got into a fight and were screaming at each other in the back of the restaurant. Between 4 people we spent 140$ for awful service, crap food, and a hostile environment. Been eating here since I was a small child with my family after church. I will spread the word that the restaurant is a horrible experience in 2025 and we will not be coming back ever again.

Overall food was good. The beans, cornbread and brisket were my favorite. Oh and the fries are pretty darn tasty too. The atmosphere is fun. A lot on the walls, but I get it. The service was even better than the food. Our server was Tommy. A cool guy cover in tattoos. He’s really great at his job, super friendly and welcoming. He knows how to have a good time and joke around. I really enjoyed our spot in the back with our larger group and we had kiddos. A lot of family friendly places have cramped larger tables and the kids had room to get up and move here. I will definitely be back and ask for Tommy specially! Thanks for the great experience Tommy

Tommy was an absolutely fantastic server tonight! Super friendly, attentive and one of the best we’ve had yet! The food was great, came out hot and super quick. Restaurant (and bathrooms) were clean and this is a must for my family. Highly recommend!

Ribs were great, sides also very good. Not FD’s sole problem however meat prices are driving menu prices to ridiculous levels. Only reason not five stars.

It’s just good ol’ BBQ. Everything is good. Not kidding. I think we’ve tried every meat on the menu. The sides are tasty. I love the sweet corn muffins.
