I was craving some southern cuisine and had been thinking about eating here for a few weeks. On my birthday, I was lured here under the false pretenses of “free dessert” which showed up as a coupon in my email.
Boy was this place a nightmare. I arrived and was rudely told I *could* sit down if I really wanted to but that my food would be served to me in disposable dinner baskets. I ordered anyways since I was already here. I had to buy soda from their take out since they would not serve me water in a cup. They wanted tip. I’m not joking.
Ribs arrived over cooked and stale. Fries had no salt and there was absolutely no salt at my table and no waiter to assist me in requisitioning some. Worst of all was this abomination of a dessert. The ice cream was frozen to a solid brick and came at the same time as my other food. I left and went to Aldi next door for a $4 gelato to make up for this train wreck of a meal.
You tell me that dessert is worth the price of gas to drive here and I have some Ocean front property for you to buy in Missouri at competitive rates.

Always one of my favorite places to eat. The food is so yummy and the service is incredible! One of my favorite things is their corn muffins! I asked for 2 extra to bring home and the waitress gave us a small bag full of them. I can’t wait to come back. The mac n cheese and ribs are calling my name.

Decided to place a lunch order for Cajun Chicken with Garlic Red-Skin Mashed Potatoes and the Texas Beef Brisket with Famous Fries. Sandwiches are quite large and filling.
Both sandwiches were very good and I loved the option for side sauces (highly recommend Devil’s Spit BBQ Sauce if you can handle a little heat). The garlic mashed potatoes were a little letdown as it was just a super dry clump. Let’s just say you didn’t need a fork or spoon to eat it as you could literally just pickup the entire container and let the mash fall into your hand as a ball.

Ordered the 3 combo to go, got bbq chicken breast super tender juicy and delicious, grilled honey bbq with beef brisket since I dont eat pork they made for me with beef brisket super delicious must must try

The food has really changed, subpar! I used to love famous Dave’s but EVERYTIME I go there now I always encounter a problem. First they gave me the wrong veg, I caught that mistake before I left, but the veg that they gave me was blane & undercooked. I requested the fatty part of the rib tip, what they gave me was hacked up undercooked pieces of tips that you have to recook to eat THEM, they’re THAT chewy. I have pictures of theirs and mines

They have an extensive menu that’s and there is something for everyone, regardless of age… Or health concerns. Also, for those of you that are keto dieters, there are several options… even some friendly sides!!

Famous Dave’s is a great barbecue chain. Staff is friendly, food is always good, and there is a great selection. Atmosphere is fun and lively. Great family place!

First time at this restaurant and we were impressed. The service was great. Famous Ryan took care of us. My husband had the ultimate burger which has bacon and chopped pork on top. I had the chopped pork platter. The pork was very juicy and had a great smoke flavor. I added the rich and sassy sauce to it which is sweet with a little heat. We also tried their pinapple rage sauce and wilbur’s revenge. Pinapple rage was very pineapple with a good amount of heat. Wilbur’s revenge was very hot which my husband enjoyed. I also had the black and blue mule which jas blueberry puree on it. It was sweet with a pucker and a hint of floral notes. Overall we really enjoyed our meal.

This is not bbq. The brisket tastes like low quality beef jerky, although the texture’s not. Dont bother. Its bad when chilis has better ribs than you.
