I was at Academy Sports and asked a young lady who worked there “where’s the best family owned restaurant in town”. She said Family Ty’s hands down. She was not lying! I have never even seen a turkey wing but that’s what the chef recommended. It was amazing! And the Mac n cheese is the best I’ve ever eaten! Everyone was extremely nice and the chef came out of the back to ask how I liked the food. I recommend this place to everyone! I had an overall great experience. I can’t name 1 negative! You have to try this place out! The sweet tea is perfect also!

We had chicken wings, fried shrimp, ribs, mac & cheese, baked beans, and seafood rice—every single dish was seasoned to perfection and cooked with love.
The customer service? Top-tier. The owner personally came out and surprised us with red velvet cake and an ooey gooey cake… like WHAT?!
And let me not forget the strawberry lemonade—to die for. Hands down one of the best I’ve had.
On a scale of 1–10, this place is a 1000. Food, service, and vibes were all unmatched. If you haven’t been to Family Ty’s, you’re missing out—period.

Stopped by on their pop up Sunday and hubby grabbed some lamb chops, seafood rice & a side salad with yay good old strawberry lemonade. Everything was great including the service!! It’s a must try for yourself!! They also cater. Best in the city!!

Was greeted by staff members upon entering. We placed our order which was 2 fried catfish dinners with mine having Mac and cheese plus collard greens and cornbread for sides and my wife sides were collard greens, candied yams and cornbread. We ordered an additional fried okra, fried shrimp and a special seafood rice mix that was filled with crawfish and topped with shrimp in a creamed sauce when I tell you everything was delicious it really is. Good Eats in their slogan is definitely true. We’ve found a new spot for some good food for the SOUL. The staff was super friendly with all guests and attentive I’d give them 5 stars across the board.

I had the Ty’s fresh salad with shrimp/chicken and steak/chicken. SO FRESH AND FLAVORFUL. I also had their ooey-gooey cake which was decadent and naturally sweet! Great place for delicious food. The pictures speak for themselves.
