Cute local little restaurant! We’re staying in a cabin close by. We thought we’d check out this place. The food was good! The sweet tea was awesome! The service was great! I know we’ll be back in the area again. We’ll be back!

After a long day of skiing at snowshoe, I found myself in this little town. I came across family traditions and decided to give them a try. I was greeted with warmth and kindness which was much needed after a 3 hour solo drive! I got the steak and cheese omelette and black coffee which was great fuel for another 3 hour drive back home.

Nice menu. Friendly service. Prepare to wait a while if it’s busy. Good value and large portions.

This place was genuinely terrible. I do not understand the reviews. We did get a kick out of the fact that we found my lunch down the street at the grocery store (see photos). I ordered haddock fillets, which most would assume was like in fish n chips, and got fish stick style meat patties. We then found the exact same thing at the grocery store down the street. Pretty obviously, they were getting it from the grocery store at $8 for four fish fillets and selling it to the consumer for $14 for two fillets. There were flies all over the restaurant and the ceiling was disgusting. We should have just gotten the stuff from the store and cooked ourselves.

If you love a small town country eating experience, do not miss this gem! The food, and employees were both amazing! We had breakfast and those famous “hubcap” sized hotcakes are no joke! Fluffy, moist and so good, just no way I could eat the entire one!

When traveling we always look for the small family owned places and this restaurant will not disappoint you! I don’t know how they make their hubcap sized pancakes, but they are WONDERFUL! I wished we lived closer because this would be our favorite breakfast place. Parking is a one lane road to the left side of the building. There is no sign so keep an eye out it looks like an alleyway. Super nice and friendly atmosphere.

This was our first time here. We waited 20 minutes before the waitress showed up at the table. I only saw this one waitress serving the entire dining room so they might want to get a couple more servers for busy times. The grits I ordered were so dry and grainy, I could not eat them. The breakfast platter my husband ordered had sausage that was more like a small hamburger patty. His fried potatoes were not fried at all. Looked like they were boiled potatoes. No offers of refills on coffee or drinks. The waitress came once we were done eating and that’s when I asked her to take the grits off my tab, she offered something else but at that point we were finished eating. I do not recommend eating here for breakfast

This is a “mom and pop” place frequented by the locals. Friendly service and customers and reasonably priced. Our food came out hot and was good. We both had the western omelet with toast, and it was more than enough. This restaurant is worth the visit.

The food is tasty, the service friendly and the prices reasonable. The place was packed on a Sunday morning, yet we got served promptly and the food arrived sooner than in most restaurants. The hotcake, as advertised, was the biggest we had ever seen, fluffy and yummy.

The place is dinky; the definition of a hole in the wall but the excellent staff and amazing food are so worth it. I really enjoyed my cheeseburger; it was perfection on a bun!
