The place has a beautiful and cozy ambience and the service was great. The first course of our meal was fantastic and set high expectations – the crème fraiche and buckwheat soil was so delicious I could eat that everyday.

Unfortunately the later courses were a bit of a let down for us. The leeks were too tough, the raw chicory was too bitter and not sufficiently complemented by the sauces, the turmeric ice cream was interesting at best.

The focus was on featuring the fresh produce and I think they did a good job at that.

This has to be one of the best Michelin-starred meals I’ve ever had in NYC. I randomly went for lunch because I’m trying to visit every Michelin spot in the city, and honestly I don’t know why it took me so long to finally get to Blue Hill.

The restaurant is tucked away in the cutest neighborhood, and the interior has a Scandinavian-meets-farmhouse vibe that feels clean, calm, and cozy. As soon as I sat down, it felt warm and homey in the best way. Lunch is $85 for a three-course menu, and I highly recommend it. There’s no printed menu; they simply bring you what’s in season, which I loved since I’m in my veggie era. Leave the thinking to them.

First Course:
We started with a plate of raw radishes, baby turnips, rye crisps, and an herbed crème fraîche dip topped with dill. Simple but so fresh. The only thing I didn’t love was the crackers, which had a bit of a cardboard-like mouthfeel. Then came a seasonal vegetable broth with squash, greens, and a dollop of crème fraîche. It was genuinely one of the best soups I’ve had anywhere

Second Course:
The main course came with a perfectly balanced little gem salad, roasted carrots, the creamiest mashed potato purée, slices of homemade whole-grain bread, and a flaky, crusty meat pie that was rich and comforting. Everything tasted super seasonal and thoughtful.

Dessert:
We finished with a warm apple crumble topped with a silky, tangy cream. The perfect ending.

Blue Hill completely exceeded my expectations. The food is incredibly clean, seasonal, and well-executed, and the space is beautiful. I’d absolutely come back, especially at such a reasonable price point.

Honestly words can’t explain the experience, everything was perfect! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were top notch and well curated. The family style was extremely unique, with ingredients I’ve never or rarely seen in other restaurants. Bonus points for a very interesting wine pairing throughout the meal. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming, honestly perfect for a special date, a business meeting, or catching up with friends and family.

This experience was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Every dish we had here was spot on, fresh and inventive. The place is upscale cozy; you feel like you’re inside someone’s super nice living room. The service is outstanding, even bringing us a second order of the whole wheat focaccia (probably the best focaccia I’ve ever had). They switch up their menu according to what they can get at the farmer’s market that day, so it will always be a good place to come back to.
Well deserved michelin star. Hoping to come back soon!

This is also New York trip. Love New York because there are many great restaurants there. Hubby took me here to celebrate my bday. It wasn’t disappointed. Restaurant was very cozy inside, also there was an outdoor patio as well, full bar, food and veggies were fresh. This restaurant was featured on Netflix for the Chef’s Table Series and the Chef on this restaurant was on there. Staffs were nice, the whole dining experience was nice. Flavor was very different than I have tasted anywhere else. Unique. There are streets parking, but like I said we uber everywhere in New York. We always make rsvp so there wasn’t a wait for us. It’s a prefixed menu with just $150 per person and with wine pairing was additional $95. Very decent for New York

Super friendly neighborhood vibe fine dining. Exceptional quality produce. Simple preparations and delightful sauces. Super friendly staff who live up to the “Family” nomenclature of the restaurant name/sign. Good option for vegans but I found the food to have too much acid to be synergistic with a wine pairing. That being said really beautiful wines and feeling of genuine generosity from the staff. Cool spot.

I am shook, absolutely one of the best meals any of us have ever had. All of the food was phenomenal, smooth flavors, well complimented — only issue was there was too much of it (which also means I don’t remember the names of everything we ate). It’s a single tasting menu, multiple dishes brought out in 3 stages plus dessert, very accommodating of all dietary preferences including vegan.

Given the price too, it’s not an inexpensive night, but for the quality and quantity of food and with such phenomenal service, it’s also a great value. Just, stunned.

Wow. This was so good. Really really cool interior design. We got to sit in the garden room and it was so cute and intimate. The food was unbelievable. It’s so fun too and the courses are so good. Definitely worth the money spent and the cocktails were amazing. I got the stone punch. Really really worth it

Absolutely incredible. My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday and took me here. I love that they let the individual ingredients standout and it truly was an experience to go through each course. The service was top notch and we went right when they opened so we had the patio all to ourselves for part of our dinner which was amazing.
