The food was not so great the sides were not good I didn’t eat them
The shrimp was grilled and I had to pay extra for grilled shrimp and I would have preferred water from the tap rather than pay for bottled as I get water because it should not cost anything when I inquired about my service the food and my bill nobody cared no manager was called and the girl at the cash register couldn’t be bothered I basically paid 30$ bucks to not be satisfied so frustrating over priced nasty food I asked that she please let someone know
I feel that if I’m going to pay this price for six shrimp then it had better at least taste good

I happened upon this family restaurant on my way back from a golf outing. I was hungry and still nearly an hour from home. I made a U-turn, pulled into the gravel parking lot, and went inside. I seated myself and listened to country folks chatting about the lack of rain, ponds drying out, crops failing. Within just a few minutes of ordering, my 3-piece catfish filet dinner came out. Sides included cole slaw, greens, hush puppies, and just the right amount of french fries. The food was great! I’m not a big fan of greens, but I’ve got to say, these were awesome! Friendly staff; delicious food; down home atmosphere. One could not ask for more! I’ll be back for sure!

We were invited to a birthday party for a friend at Family Fish House. First time I ever ate there. Pretty dang good for me. I had the whole catfish plate and it was pretty good with the greens (a little too sweet) and slaw, and fixins’. Normal ‘fish-house’ fare. My wife had the fried shrimp and it was kinda overdone and didn’t ‘sit’ well with her.

Great Food BUT, Very Bad Service. don’t order the all you can eat Catfish because it’s not all you can eat. It’s all that they might bring you! We waited an hour and a half for our food while they sold all the fish to call in take out orders, and then lied about it.
Watch the old lady at the front door with your card, if you leave a tip on the table?, you might find another tip charge added to your card.
This happened twice to me and my party we will never go back.

Great staff (waitress had worked there since she was 10) and good food. I did not get the fish nor the frog legs but everyone else enjoyed them. I was treated with kind service. Meal was hot shrimp, oysters, hush puppies, greens and fries, as well as cole slaw and onion slices……what a meal

Service was just a mediocre as the food. I Spent $91 on 4 plates of fish that tasted like Penns. Way overpriced. The greens were sweet. The fries were dry and the fish had no seasoning. Next time we will just go to Penns.

– Large gravel lot for parking
– Exterior of building looks nice
– Interior of building is very dated and grimey. Several stains on the walls around the dining area, and the tables were disgusting. They definitely need to be stripped and refinished.
– Women’s room was cramped and freezing cold with no hot water. (Unsure of the men’s)
Staff
– We were promptly greeted, but told to seat ourselves.
– It took just a few minutes for the older, very polite waitress to greet up and take our drink order.
– Upon checking out, my husband wasn’t asked for ID to verify the card user NOR was he asked to sign a ticket. (Definitely didn’t like this…)
Food/Beverages
– They charge for water…. Definitely not okay considering the insane prices they charge for food.
– The (overly) sweet “tea” was light brown Karo syrup/sugar water. Absolutely no need in having that amount of sugar in what’s supposed to be tea.
– They offer bottled water and canned Coca-Cola products.
– They substituted ALL of my husband’s sides for a tiny side salad. Which he was very displeased because he wanted to substitute only the coleslaw and greens. So, we were charged $20 for 2pc of fish, some shrimp and a micro side salad.
– The greens that I received with my order were absolutely disgustingly sweet. They were almost as sweet as the brown water they called tea.
– The shrimp had no flavor, and the small plate I ordered was not worth $17.
– Our kids seemed to enjoy their fish plates, but neither ate the hushpuppies. These were $10 a plate.
– The catfish pieces were very undersized for the prices. Two might make a sandwich.
– I didn’t order, but I did inquire about the gumbo. I was informed that it’s not made in-house, but is ordered as is from their supplier. I was disappointed by this.
– There was no remoulade sauce.
– The only option for lemon was the sodium-benzate laced packets on the tables.
All in all: needs a serious deep cleaning, leave the tea bags in longer, less sugar, real lemons, seasoning on the food, remove sugar from the greens, make the gumbo in-house.
Won’t eat here again unless things improve.

The food is over priced on everything. We ate there last night and my sons chicken was too hard to eat. The cole slaw and turnip greens were too sweet also. Extremely high priced… the ladies were sweet. But, I think we will stick to Jerry’s or Berry’s on 49.

This place was horrible. The food was extremely mediocre, and our server julie was just as rude, and unpleasant as she wanted to be. They had amounts on our tickets that was outside of our bill and taxes, and the cashier said she insists a gratuity to large parties, but there was no sign, no disclaimer of this anywhere. Besides that; mostly the food was bad and julie was just not nice at all. She came with food for the table, and everyone asked what meals the sides went with, or who was the food for, and she sarcastically stated “everybody” but gave no reference to specific guests and their orders. I would NEVER go there again, and if you are looking for some good Mississippi food and hospitality, this is ABSOLUTELY not the place the to go.
