They have a small seating area so better to take to go. And they close early, so I’m a little disappointed I won’t be able to get a bacon egg and cheese for dinner.
But it’s great little place with friendly staff good food, and don’t forget to get you a martinelli apple juice for the full New York flavor.
My FAVORITEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LOCAL BAGEL/BAKERY EVER!!!!!!!!! I don’t even know where to begin. 1. The family who owns and runs this shop is AMAZING. 2. The food is SPECTACULAR! 3. A BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! Prices are exceptional for everything they offer! Try a bagel sandwich however you like it! Get a pack of day olds! Get a muffin! Get anything and you won’t be disappointed! I will never stop going here! Added a photo of my favorite order : Everything bagel with a hashbrown, egg+cheese & cream cheese. Mmm

Their staff are all kind, helpful, and exactly the kind of friendly faces you want to see on an early morning visit. We absolutely love Family Dough Bagels and will continue to support them when we move back to the States!
Unfortunately, the food just did not live up to the expectations. The bagel lacked flavor. I am not referring to the shape or appearance, but the taste itself. It was very bland. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese with salt, pepper, and ketchup, and the only real flavor coming through was the ketchup. The chive and scallion cream cheese was also surprisingly bland and did not have much depth.
The cream cheese cookie was actually pretty good, but overall the experience did not match the hype. There is another non New York branded spot about 10 to 15 minutes away that we have tried before, and it honestly had more flavor.
It is not terrible. It is fine for a local bagel shop, but I would not describe it as New York style bagel based on taste. I was hoping for more, especially given the branding. I am originally from the Northeast, New York and New Jersey, so I have a pretty clear benchmark for what a New York bagel should taste like. I think this place is selling more of the NY vibe than taste. I care more about taste than vibe.
