It was our first time there. It was recommended by locals. It started off good ordering and all. But the table next to us started throwing racial slurs. And my daughter is 1/2 black. I told the server if she doesn’t stop them I’m going to do something. She tried taking up for them and said they’re not racist they just talk like that (80 something year old white men) my daughter started crying, I wanted to leave and just pay for our drinks. But they were going to make us pay for the food to and put in to go boxes. I calmed her down and we received our food. Definitely wasn’t worth $5 let aline the price they were asking. My meatloaf was probably made 3 days prior and microwaved.

We were looking for a “mom and pop” place to get some lunch. Found this gem. We ordered a chicken blt Wrap to split between the two of us. It was huge. It came with fries that were seasoned and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Our lunch experience was simply amazing! Highly recommend this place to eat!

We were 2 of 5 people in the place. Service was pleasant but painfully slow. 30 minutes for 2 pancakes and a side of bacon, from order to delivery. Breakfast meats are lightly seasoned, if at all…more like fresh pork. If you like that, you’ll enjoy them, most likely. We will try someplace different next time.

Outstanding food. Very clean. Employees and owner are always on top of things and attentive to customers needs. A true half pound burger. Home made onion rings. My wife doesn’t get sick on any of their gluten free foods, which they have a lot of. We will make this a regular stop.

My wife and I stopped in here on our back home to Chicago. What a wonderful place! The service was top-notch and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic with very generous portions. Also, the place was very clean and the restrooms were spotless. All of the staff were following the COVID guidelines. We visit Michigan often and Family Affair is definitely worth a slight detour. Try the biscuit gravy omelet!
