Since 2009, Fallon’s Pub has been a family-owned business with Irish influence in every corner. Owners Chris and Dan, while not related, consider themselves brothers. Chris and Dan have worked together for over 20 years in various complicities in the restaurant and bar business in the St Louis area. Fallon’s is the culmination of lessons learned and people met from every business they were a part of previously. It was their love of food and drink in a casual “Cheers” like atmosphere that made Fallon’s what it is today.

This was my first time going at the behest of a young one and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was nice, the place smelled and looked, and the staff were very friendly.
We started off the salmon on toasted points and fried pickles with spicy ranch. I had doubts about the salmon but goodness gracious it was delicious. The salmon was fresh and the garlic aioli had plenty of flavor. It came with chopped red onions, tomatoes, and lettuce which were wonderfully cold and fresh. The fried pickles were also amazing and full of flavor. My only issue would be the “spicy ranch” which is really just ranch.
I had the fish chips and others had a Reuben and a custom pizza. The funny part is that our waiter had to come back and verify that I wanted French fries and not actual potato chips. I’m guessing folks around these parts don’t know what chips are at an Irish pub.
Right off the bat, the chips were phenomenal. Not just the flavor but the outside was nice and crisp and the insides hot and creamy. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had that good of a French fry.
The fish I think was cod and again, the flavor was on point. They were slightly dry but not enough to make it inedible. I honestly wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t inspected it for an honest review.
The Reuben as you can see in the pics was ginormous!! Also wonderfully spiced and the sauce had a nice tang to it. The pizza was thin and crisp with fresh ingredients as well.
We came right when they opened so it was empty but people started streaming in shortly thereafter. Our waiter was attentive and checked in on us at good intervals. We waited maybe ten minutes for our appetizers and around fifteen minutes for our entrees. The bathrooms were also clean and well maintained.
We didn’t get dessert because none of the options were original enough to want to try. The prices were a little above average but not too pricey. For the quality and value it’s definitely worth it.
All in all Fallon’s gets four stars. It’s better than average and it’ll be on the list of places to eat out when we have dinner option conversations. The food was also good enough to make me want to try new things there. If you’re in the area traveling it’s definitely a good spot for some grub. If you live in the area you should already know this place is really really good!
My diet broke down with my beer, a Dark Matter Porter, which was absolutely excellent.
It was pretty empty when I got there and the one server was doing everything except for cooking. As the tables filled up one by one she still seemed to be doing a fantastic job.
I ordered spinach artichoke toasted ravioli which was delicious. I also ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and instead of fries I got a salad with the house dressing (parmesan vinaigrette).
I enjoyed all of my food. It was worth noting that the buffalo sauce was not really a traditional buffalo sauce. It was more sweet and tangy? I really liked it, but thought it would be something to point out.
All in all a great experience. I will be back.
It’s a bit far from home for us, but I’d gladly return if I’m in the area. 🙂
Was absolutely wonderful . I have to put her in my top fav servers in the area . She was absolutely spot on and fun the whole time we were there …. and to be honest … everyone was wonderful . And omg try the spinach dip for an appetizer .. maybe one of the cheesiest best things I’ve ever eaten .
I highly recommend this place
