We had such a wonderful evening at FairLees!! The staff is so friendly and attentive. The bar is lively and offers a selection from beer and crushes to fine wine and crafted cocktails. The menu has something for everyone and at a fair price. It’s the perfect place to relax after a fun day in the sun. Thank you for renovating and making it such a nice place.

We stayed a weekend at Great Oak Landing, which was a cute getaway. The food at the restaurant was amazing, we had dinner there both nights. They also had a specials menu that offered a steak that was top notch. The atmosphere was great, and the server we had was very good, and very attentive to us. We were very pleased with our overall experience.

Waited 15 minutes for someone to even come to the table asking what we wouid like to drink or eat. It wasn’t busy outside at all Saturday evening. Once we got the food not once did our waitress come back to the table asking if we needed anything. We had to ask a male server to get the waitress for us. 15 minutes passed by still waiting for her . We wanted another drink but she never came back to the table. The food portion was very small for the prices. Not satisfied at all

Fairlees offers a great menu and the food is delicious . The service is always on point . In addition , the restaurant was recently renovated and the atmosphere is inviting . if you haven’t been , you have to make a trip to Fairlees .

We stayed the weekend of 5/20 to 5/22 at the hotel at Great Oak Marina. The location is amazing and the hotel staff wonderful. On Saturday night we had dinner here. My wife ordered the shaved rib eye sandwich. She bit into it and it was a half inch thick 3×5 slab of grizzle. Totally inedible! But wait, there’s more! I had the shrimp salad wrap that wasn’t great. Sunday I started having severe diarrhea and it continued through Tuesday. Saw the doctor Tuesday and submitted a stool sample. Today is Wednesday and the diagnosis is severe food poisoning caused by bacteria in the food. Obviously the shrimp was not properly handled. Bloody Hell! Call Gordon Ramsey! Better yet, the board of health. My stomach is still aching and I won’t go into detail about my bowel movements. Eat here at your own risk. Oh, and the service was sub par at best. Yuck!

Really wanted to like Fairlees but inexperienced staff and kitchen mistakes make it the venue of last resort.
Three times in a row we have ordered something to go and it’s either been flat out missing or missing ingredients. First time, burger with no onions or chips. Second time, buffalo egg rolls with no blue cheese, third time missing an entire order plus no chips with sandwich… all which the menu clearly indicates it comes with.
Twice, We have been waiting for the to-go order enjoying a drink when drunken patrons have started arguing (yelling). The most recent lasted 20 minutes on the patio with no staff intervention and frankly, no service for the other patrons as if the staff were afraid to walk on the patio for a confrontation. Two other couples left before their food orders were delivered due to how uncomfortable the drunk table was making the vibe. Additionally, while staff is super friendly and kind…. It seems like the place lacks a front of house manager who can manage any escalations and provide customer service that customers can feel confident in giving second/third/fourth chances.
Even tho we are there almost every weekend and the Smashburger is actually really, really good….. we will head to another venue with a more predictable kitchen and service staff who can manage both well behaved and naughty clientele.

FairLee’s Restaurant & Bar was a very pleasant surprise. It is a fantastic remote location with outstanding views of the Chesapeake Bay. There is both indoor and outdoor seating even adirondack chairs facing the water.
We sat at the inside bar. We ordered Orange Crush drinks. The barback, Will, told us about several Crush drinks not on the menu. We then ordered a Pineapple Crush and a Blueberry Crush. They were outstanding. I would recommend asking if they have any drinks that are not on the menu.
Our waitress, Emma, was extremely pleasant and friendly. The service was impeccable.
The food menu is a little limited but everything we got was very good, large portions, and at a very fair price.
The smashburger was huge (enough for two people) and made the old fashioned way with all beef patties (no filler detected).
The Chicken Tenders were also enough for two people to share. They were very large and several choices of dipping sauces.
There was a very good three piece rock cover band playing, Juke Box Trio, when we arrived that was very talented and not too loud.
The only negatives were that the chairs were a little uncomfortable after awhile and bar needs a foot rail at the bottom of it.
This bar/restaurant is a real hidden gem in Kent County. We will be back again soon.

Was there on 5/24 and the atmosphere was great but unfortunately the rest wasn’t as great. We waited approx. 45 minutes to get our order which was a smash burger meal and a salad. When it came the salad was missing most of what it was supposed to have in it. When asked they said we were out those items and just served it anyway. The smash burger was also missing all the condiments the menu said and was just a bun and burger. Hopefully they will get better.
