This is hands down the best Turkish bakery I’ve been to! Everything tastes fresh, authentic, and made with care. Their Mediterranean breakfast is absolutely amazing; so flavorful, and the fresh poğaça (porcha) is out of this world; soft, warm, and perfectly baked.
The lady working there is the sweetest! She’s very friendly, welcoming, and super quick with service.
Highly recommend!

Wow. Incredibly impressed with this place. The coffee tasted amazing. The latte was fantastic (get the vanilla cream) with a perfect amount of foam on top. The Nutella acma and the egg sandwich were a perfect start to the day. And everything reasonably priced. Better than reasonable- I haven’t seen a $5 breakfast sandwich in years. And a flavored latte under $5 is almost unheard of. Bathroom was clean. This place was great and I can’t wait to go back.

The food was so good! Especially the honey cake, I highly recommend this! It’s so good and not too sweet. Just perfect! They have a wide variety of sweet and savory items too!

It was okay. The turkey and havarti sandwich was pretty good. I had it on a croissant. But the coffee was terrible. I asked for a coffee for here. I was asked small, medium, or large. I asked for medium. I was handed a 12oz paper cup. 12 oz is your medium? What’s the small then? Anyway, the coffee was self serve out of air pots. They had two options. The one I wanted was empty so I went with the other. I think the coffee must have been brewed at 6AM and I went in for lunch. It was cold.

I don’t like eating and drinking out of paper and plastic. I understand from the restaurant’s perspective it’s far less work, the customer just tosses their cup out, no mug to clean, but I prefer a proper mug to drink my beverage out of. It’s a strong turn off for me.

Unbelievable muffins and coffee! The cherry cheesecake muffin is outstanding. Service is very fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely, with soft relaxing music that makes this a great stop for a bite and a book.

Fairfax Bakery is genuinely one of a kind in the DMV area. As someone who appreciates both cultural authenticity and great hospitality, this place delivers on both. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warmth and the aroma of fresh-baked goods.

Their Turkish breakfast is the best in town—authentic, generous, and full of flavor. The baklava is made fresh daily, and their nearly 30 muffin flavors are something you won’t find anywhere else. I especially love the poğaça with ribeye and mozzarella—it’s deliciously unique.

The owners, Atilla and Ozlem, have poured their hearts into this place. You can feel it in every detail—from the quality ingredients to the carefully curated dessert case filled with house-made éclairs, profiteroles, and Turkish rice pudding.

It’s more than a bakery. It’s a cultural experience and a community gathering spot. I’m proud to support Fairfax Bakery and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something fresh, flavorful, and truly special.

The restaurant is small and has a family-run feel.

While the breakfast platter offers a variety of options, it didn’t quite meet my expectations given the price—$25 feels steep for breakfast. The quality was average, with the sausage in particular falling short and the overall flavor lacking some seasoning.

On the positive side, the simit was excellent and the tea was exceptional—I’d return just for that.

The seating is limited, so it’s better suited for takeout.

My mom and I tried this place while on a weekend trip and will never forget it! We were greeted with such kindness and the selection of pastries looked amazing. We ordered the Southern Classic on a croissant, lox on an Asiago bagel, and a muffin to share. IT WAS SO GOOD. We had to come back the next day for the same thing! 1000/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a nice, delicious breakfast. ❤️

Small bakery, if you are not a regular don’t expect to be greeted. My husband and I walked in and not so much as a hello, these our are specials. Nothing, so that was a huge turn off. It took us a while to decide what we wanted because the majority of the croissants and cheesecake muffins appeared dry and not fresh. She did warm up the Almond croissants, but it was definitely dry ( not fresh) and could barely taste the pastry in the middle. We definitely won’t be back and won’t recommend.

Fairfax Bakery is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the delicious aroma of freshly baked goods and warm hospitality. Their simit is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside—just like in Istanbul. The böreks are rich and flavorful, and their baklava is hands down the best I’ve had in the area: flaky, buttery, and not overly sweet.

It’s more than just a bakery—it’s a cozy little piece of Turkey in Virginia. Highly recommended for anyone who misses real Turkish pastries or wants to experience something truly special.
