The BEST experience! We split the seared scallops, w/ tomato jam over white bean puree. It was heaven!!… and the desert was absolutely bonkers good.

One of the best fish/seafood meals we’ve ever had. Sat at the bar and both bartenders were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Oysters were tasty and the main course was excellent. Grilled porgy was probably the best fish I’ve ever had. Cod was also to die for. Emily Mingrone is clearly one of the best chefs in the region.

I had a lovely dinner with friends last night at the Fair Haven Oyster Company. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the Marina and the river. We had craft cocktails, oysters and soft shelled crabs to start, scallops and Arctic char as main courses. The food, atmosphere and service were wonderful.

The lobster toast with caviar is the best thing I’ve eaten in quite some time.

We just had our first meal at the Fairhaven oyster company and it was great! We dined in the main room with its circular potholes and burnished wood walls. The Fair Haven clam chowder was delicious and so was the lobster bisque. We chose a salad that came complete with wonderfully fried oysters. The main course was deep fried Hake with really good fries and a wonderful aïoli. The service was prompt, professional, and personable. They are off to a great start. We will be back.

Fantastic dining experience, food, and atmosphere. Cocktails were unique and our waitress Megan was very knowledgeable about the way they were crafted and served. Bad Alibi, last monk standing, and brace for impact are all recommended. We dove head first into the fresh seafood by having 2 of each of the oysters on the menu, copps, ninigret, bombazine, and kusshi we’re all amazing. Shrimp are massive. From there, you could think a wedge salad couldn’t be served any different but they had their own spin on it to stand out. If you don’t try the cold lobster roll, you’re crazy. Cold smoked trout roe was an amazing touch. Surprisingly rare bourbon collection that’s only viewable behind the bar. Don’t miss this great new spot!

Easily one of, if not, the best new restaurant here in CT. Be sure to reserve a spot in advance because even with a reservation they can get busy. The service is amazing and the staff is so friendly and nice. All the apps and small plates are unique in flavor and perfect for sharing with up to 3 people. The drinks are all extremely unique and vibrant/refreshing. The gin cocktails were my favorite. Lastly, the raw bar is very fresh and the oysters have a great variety!

The servers were all very attentive and friendly. The oysters were fresh, probably some of the best I’ve had in Connecticut. We ordered the lobster risotto and the skate wing for our entrees and both were fantastic. We had the Earl Grey Creme Brulee and the cheesecake for dessert and were not disappointed in the slightest. We’ll be back in the future.

When my friend and I wanted to go for oysters about a month ago Fair Haven Oyster was a no brainer. We had both been several times and the oysters and food are on point. This night we ordered 2 of the 5 or 6 oysters they had that evening. We usually see our favorites then place another order. This night they were all lackluster and I couldn’t really taste a difference between types and the shells looked the same. I mentioned it to the waiter and he said he would speak to the manger. Meanwhile we had ordered other food that was good but also not as good as I had come to expect. Perhaps mid week they don’t have the same turnover of oysters. The manager then came over and told me that she tried the oysters and they were great. Not sure how she tasted the oysters I had eaten but ok. When I told her that I had never experienced different varieties of oysters all tasting the same especially at fho she told me that she didnt recognize me and that she is really good with faces. Felt clearly fantastic to be told that you are not memorable when you repeatedly give the two restaurants business. She was combative for no real reason as we were not really making an issue of it. She offered us a dessert while letting us know that she didn’t really feel she had to but basically was doing us a huge favor. I cancelled my next reservation on the way out. She told me she felt bad and honestly she should have. Ive never written a bad review before but not only did I get bad oysters but I got a giant sized attitude. I have debated about writing this review because I don’t like to hurt peoples businesses and because I see when people do they are met with an attitude but honestly when you treat customers so poorly sooner or later someone is going to call you out for it,
