We at Palo Magazine love going to Fabulous Cake Factory. Mia and Edwin truly love what they do. They totally love their Puerto Rican culture and roots, and they show it via the cakes, sandwiches, and all the Puerto Rican desserts they make. Not to mention their coffee. Growing up, we didn’t put cold milk into our coffee; we would warm up the milk first to not ruin the texture. At Fabulous Cake Factory, they steam the milk to perfection. For us, it’s a weekly treat. Congratulations, Mia and Edwin, great job representing us Puerto Ricans and our treats.

After several times walking my past this cafe and telling myself how I need to check it out. Today was that day!!! The moment I went in, I was greeted by a welcoming smile by the co owner (Edwin) and his wife. I explained I was starving and needed something to hold me over until I ate dinner. So he went over the list of sandwiches they make so I went with one I never had/heard of (The Mortadella w/ egg & Swiss cheese). I never had a sandwich with the bread so light and fluffy but crispy. SOOO worth it. I ordered the coffee and a few pastries to go. Let’s just say this was honestly the best coffee I’ve had in a very long time. STARBUCKS, Wawa nor Dunkin can compete . It’s food and service like this that makes me willing to return. Thank you to Edwin and his beautiful Wife.
