Randy Review: Ezio’s Miami

Open two months and already acting like it owns the block

Some restaurants open quietly. Ezio’s opened like a well-dressed New Yorker who just moved to Miami and immediately joined the best gym, found the best tailor, and started correcting wine pronunciations. Two months in and it already feels confident. Not loud. Not showy. Just calm, tailored swagger.

Walking into Ezio’s feels like slipping into an upscale Italian steakhouse that’s part refined NYC energy, part Miami Beach warmth. The space embraces a classic steakhouse soul with burgundy banquettes, low warm lighting, and white tablecloths that invite long dinners and good wine. The team behind Roberta’s brings that New York pedigree and classic hospitality to Miami’s North Beach, and it shows from start to finish.

Let’s talk food.

Imperial Ranch Wagyu Filet

This is not just a steak. This is a silk robe disguised as beef.

Perfect sear. Deep crust. Inside, it is tender enough that you briefly question whether chewing is even necessary. The marbling melts like it signed a noncompete with butter. Rich without being heavy. Luxurious without trying too hard.

If you are the kind of person who says, “I’ll just have something light,” and then orders the Wagyu filet, you made the right decision. This is the anchor of the menu. It knows it. You know it. The cow knew it.

Cappelletti

Little pasta pillows filled with robiole and honeynut squash, finished with truffle.

Each bite tastes like someone whispered “northern Italy” into your ear while handing you a cashmere blanket. The filling is creamy and slightly sweet, the truffle adds just enough earthiness to remind you that sophistication is a choice.

This is the dish you order when you want to prove you appreciate nuance. It is elegant, balanced, and disappears from the plate faster than you planned.

Japanese Sweet Potato

This side dish deserves its own agent.

Caramelized edges. Creamy interior. Slight sweetness that plays beautifully against the savory weight of the steak. It is the quiet overachiever of the table. You think it is there for support. Then suddenly you are guarding it from your dining partner like it is a portfolio position you are not ready to sell.

Caesar Salad

Yes, I am reviewing a Caesar salad. Stay with me.

Crisp romaine, balanced dressing, proper anchovy backbone. Not swimming. Not dry. Just disciplined. It tastes like a Caesar that went to finishing school. This is the salad you order to feel responsible before the Wagyu arrives. It does not disappoint.

The Vibe

For a place only two months old, Ezio’s feels polished. The room has that warm steakhouse glow that says, “Stay awhile.” The service is attentive without hovering. The energy is confident but not chaotic.

It feels like a restaurant that knows exactly what it wants to be. That is rare this early. And for a restaurant delivering this level of quality, the pricing is actually reasonable all things considered. You leave feeling indulged, not ambushed.

Final Verdict

If you go, order the Wagyu filet. Add the cappelletti. Do not skip the Japanese sweet potato. Pretend the Caesar is for balance.

Ezio’s is two months in and already operating like a seasoned pro. If this is the beginning, Miami’s steakhouse scene just got a serious upgrade.

I will be back. Probably sooner than my cardiologist would recommend.

P.S. Wednesday through Friday there is a happy hour at the bar from 5 to 7. Check out $12 mini martinis and $1 oysters.

Delicious food, great service, beautiful place, staff was friendly and welcoming. They have a nice selection of food to choose from. I ordered chicken alfredo with mushrooms and spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was prepared nicely and so delicious, the meals came with lightly toasted garlic bread and salad with the best dressing along the sorts of Italian dressing. Generous portions. I ordered takeout online it was ready in about 20 – 25 minutes. I 100% would recommend this place to anyone!!

A few of us were new to town, and we had a great experience, so much that we went back the next night again for dinner. Becky was a great waitress, and so was the guy the next night. The food was amazing!

We couldn’t be more disappointed. We wanted this to be a great night at Ezio’s. We could barely get apps and a few drinks. Watched a few other tables arrive after us, eat, pay and leave while we waited. When we finally got the waiter’s attention we asked to just pay for what we did get and he couldn’t have cared less about the situation. We’re not coming back and can’t really recommend either.

Good food, but absolutely TERRIBLE management and service! Do yourself a favor and just get takeout. As soon as I walked in I could tell something was off about the service. No host, so I waited to be seated because I wanted a booth. Finally just walked to the end of the bar by the kitchen and service station. Sitting by the service station was my biggest mistake. Sat down and waited another 5 mins for the bartender to ask “what do you want to drink?” No pleasantries whatsoever, not even a hello from anyone in the restaurant. While waiting for a food menu two waitresses wouldn’t stop complaining about school, finance, and jobs. Meanwhile I heard the table behind me complain to a server that nobody had helped them in 10 mins since being seated. Finally, after 10 mins, I had to ask the bartender for a food menu. Another 5-10 mins for her to take my order. 20 mins total to order food. Food came out very quickly in only 10 minutes. I got the gnocchi bolognese and a side of Italian green beans. Both pretty good, except for the “garlic” bread that was warmed sliced bread with a drizzle of oil and garlic salt. I asked for fresh parm and the response was “uh this is fresh, we fill it everyday” pointing to the parm shaker… what “Italian” place doesn’t have freshly shredded parm? This attitude from waitstaff and management just got worse and worse… non-stop complaining
about tips, wanting to go home, and general drama I didn’t want to hear. It finally dawns on me that the waitstaff is miserable because of a TERRIBLE manager who was combative with an employee about taking a break… RIGHT next to me! I paid my bill and the bartender disappeared because I was last at the bar at 7:30. Walked out of the restaurant without anyone say goodbye or have a good night.

0/5 service with 3/5 food

When you go there make sure you have your phone bc the menu is on the door with a QR code. If not you will be stuck with a small menu, which didn’t include what drinks they have on it. I got the wedding soup which tasted like strait up water and black pepper , my daughter got their spaghetti she said it was tad bit spicy.

Big fan. The first handful of visits were flawless. Recently my wife took our two youngest and had a not so memorable experience. The steak my son ordered he said was gross, hes picky so took it with a grain of salt. When I went to eat it the next day it tasted like char and lighter fluid. It also took over 45 minutes for 3 meals to come (steak, steak salad, kids tenders) and the waitress asked if she could bring the check before they were even half way through their meals. Will continue to dine here but hope this was a one off!

Great local restaurant. Staff are lovely and service great. Complimentary salads and garlic bread. They make all their own sauces, dressings, seasonings from scratch! Amazing cocktails (checkout seasonal specials!). Nicely decorated and ambience. Good selection of tasty meals and generous portions.

Brought my work team in to celebrate one of my colleagues promotion. We stood at the door waiting to be seated or at that point even acknowledged. We stood there while staff walked by, saying nothing. A quick, we will be right with you or, it will be a few minutes or please seat yourself. After about 7 minutes of waiting with still no acknowledgement, we walked out and left, went to BB Rooners, great and quick service, friendly staff, great good and fun atmosphere. I liked Ezio’s but I will not be spending my money at this establishment any longer.

I see a lot of one stars about the takeout which are pretty accurate as I wasn’t happy about the quality of the takeout, however, I could not recommend sitting down in Ezios enough. The service has always been excellent, the food just keeps getting better the more I go, If you are just passing through Salem and never plan to come into town again you should stop and try Ezios
