I live three hours south of here, but any time I come up to the Puget Sound area, I like to hit an Ezell’s. I’ve been to several locations and I love the chicken. This store is takeout only so keep that in mind if you’re driving any distance. My hotel was less than 10 minutes away, so everything was still hot by the time I sat down to eat.
I usually go with the pound of spicy tenders w/ two sides, which turns into two meals for me. The tenders are amazing. I crave them. The baked beans have a nice flavor and the mac-n-cheese is gooey and creamy. The rolls are so good they don’t require butter or jam in order to enjoy them.
If you’re from out of town and want to try a locally owned chicken place, you can’t go wrong with Ezell’s. A total comfort food experience. They have gizzards and chicken livers too if you’re into that. I’m not, but I’ve brought friends to Ezell’s who got pretty excited about that.

Great experience overall—staff was friendly and the service was solid. The only issue was my order: I asked for 8 pieces of dark meat, but when I got home it was mostly wings (White Meat). We also tried the peach cobbler, and unfortunately it was cold and not very good.
Tip for others: if you want dark meat, specifically ask for thighs and legs, and double-check the order before you leave.

New visit to this location but not new to the brand. I got the chicken tender 1/2 pound combo with mashed potatoes and an extra side of corn. I wolfed it down when I got it home. The food was outstanding and the folks behind the counter were friendly and quick. I ordered online via their website and it took my name from my card so I did not have to give my name in a form on the website. I don’t know why but I liked this little thing. Food was ready when I got there and was still hot when I got home. Would go here again.

My first time trying their food, and the food quality was pretty bad. The famous chicken was extremely dry and tasteless. The mac and cheese and the fries were cold and bland. We ordered nearly $60 worth of famous chicken and sides for 3 people, and they only provided two tiny cups of sauce. The gentleman who handed me the food was attentive, which was the only thing I liked about the experience.

Do not order directly for delivery. They 3rd party deliver through Doordash and there is no way to track your delivery. We ordered a week in advance and after two subsequent called turns our the order sat for over an hour without an eta delivery time and we finally had to cancel. Our recommendation is pickup NO delivery.

I ordered pickup and it was ready a short time after I ordered. I was greeted politely and well taken care of by staff. Food was fantastic, stayed hot and fresh from the ride home. Love the flavor of the chicken and dinner rolls. Never had a bad order from Ezells. Would go again and again and again!

Whew for starters they’re so stingy with the food , I’ve been coming here for years and the last few times I’m always having to pay for extra stuff because they’re so stingy. Small amount of sides. Also, why are they charging .60 cents for a small condiment container of sauce. Then you have the workers who don’t speak English and act like they don’t want to be bothered when asking them questions (as a customer should). Yeah I miss the old days, Ezells has gone down hill. This was my side by the way and I got told the fries go off the side mind you I have never in my life got this small amount of fries as a side with a pound of tenders. I ended up buying another fry smh

They tried to sell me an EXTREMELY small amount of Cajun fries for $4.99 and hoped I would just grab my bag and walk away without checking. Glad, I checked my quantity of fries I got and complained.
