I was greeted almost immediately when entering the store. Customer service in general was upbeat, friendly and very pleasant.
Order to food in hand was about 25 minutes. A smaller order would have been faster, but the wait did not seem long at all.
I ordered 100 traditional wings choosing all of the dry rub flavors. With tax it was about $118. Slightly cheaper than Wingstop, but so much better taste wise. Prices are competitive, and there are lots of sides and even burgers. There are a lot of options under $20.
The wings have a fresh flavor. The crispness of the skin seemed to vary, but there were no soggy pieces. The meat is fall off the bone tender, juicy, and delicious.
Lemon pepper: Almost certainly my favorite of the dry rubs. It’s a perfect mix of Lemon and pepper without any sort of chemical taste.
Bomber: A mild flavor, not spicy at all. Dipped in buffalo ranch this is absolutely a great flavor choice.
Cajun: It is tasty, but not as strong of a taste as I expected. Not spicy, great with ranch.
Nashville Heat: There is a tiny kick to it, but I’d place it on the mild spice scale. A nice taste to it and the spice does not overwhelm the flavor.
Garlic Parmesan: Strong parmesan flavor, with a subtle garlic flavor. Excellent with buffalo ranch sauce.
I do think that the dry rubs might work better with boneless, but I’ll have to try that in the future. Overall it’s a fantastic addition to Arroyo Grande and the best wings I’ve had in the area.
The owners of this restaurant are very down-to-earth. They gladly gave us discounts for happy hour, instructed us to order over the phone to save money on their app, and always made us feel welcomed.
The food is what makes this place very special, as the owners are meticulous and have high standards for every meal they prepare. For instance, we ordered the 20 piece boneless wings, and fried mushrooms and pickles, and it was the best fried chicken I have ever had. It was not covered in grease but instead kept it’s flavor with a clean presentation. I have never seen fried food like this before, and because of this Extreme Wild Wings deserves more attention and notoriety in my opinion.
Also has toy claw machines and pool table for some fun.
Rainy day, 21-month-old at home, and we were seriously craving wings and a beer—so grateful they are around! We ordered the honey garlic, lemon pepper, and mango habanero, and every single flavor was amazing. Not one miss. The hospitality truly stood out—they were generous and made sure we had more than enough. Everything was reasonably priced and felt like great value for the quality. We’ll absolutely be back for more wings!
