Food was awful, had onion and mushrooms omelet. Eggs were dry, mushrooms looked like they popped them out of a water, no flavor. Potatoes were old toast was stale. Very sad this use to be a nice place. I should have suspected something was off when there was only two cars in the parking lot. I won’t be going back.

Mediocre at best. Not a very friendly staff. Food was ok. Ordered Fish and Chips for lunch ( menu said English style with malt vinegar). He delivered it with no malt vinegar, I asked for it and he came back with oil and vinegar and left. I went to the counter and ask for malt vinegar and the other waiter gave me a bottle that hadn’t been opened yet. We couldn’t open it so he took it into the kitchen to open it. He came back to the table with the broken glass bottle to show me. He said that was the only bottle they had in the entire diner.
Also, the menu shows the lunch special includes a drink, but he said it doesn’t and that the “white tape” over the word “drink” fell off. My wife’s pastrami sandwich was fine.

We road travel a lot. We’ve been in many diners and restaurants over the last 20 years

This diner has a unique way about it. Here at 11:15am on a Saturday. Pretty good crowd. I Starting this review before our meal arrives.

Inside the decor is dated for certain. But seems clean.

Met with a service dog when we walked in. Friendly and older. Not sure who owns it. Love dogs. No concern to us. But odd start.

The vibe when you walk in is ultra easy going. “Sit where you want”

The menu is old looking with unique offerings and the size of a book.

Coffee is a bit strong, but I am good with it. My wife didn’t like the coffee at all. They replaced it with a chocolate milk. Not sure at this point what to expect from the food.

Our waitress Angelica was super sweet. I ordered the big breakfast #1, typically the breakfast would come with home fries, it doesn’t here. I asked for Cholula Hot Sauce and Angelica said they don’t have hot sauce but she brings her own for her customers – like I said, unique.

I also ordered one chicken sandwich- just to try it. I can take with me if I can’t finish.

My wife ordered an omelet with bacon, swiss and avocado.

My breakfast was good! Tasty sausage and bacon. Eggs done perfectly. Pancakes very good as well. It was better than it looked when it first came out.

Chicken sandwich is tasty. Came with thousand island dressing on it. I did not notice that on menu. Different; but I liked it.

My wife liked her breakfast too. Ate all of it as I did. I even finished the entire chicken sandwich!

Angelica’s service was top notch also. Came back to check on us, refill coffees, etc.. Turned out her hot sauce was Cholula in packets that she brings from home.

Both rest rooms were warm, in need of updates, but relatively clean. Messy sink area because soap dispenser is broken.

Total was: $51.16

Maybe they were short staffed…. Stopped in for breakfast and while the food was good, (I would recommend trying it), everything else fell short. I was surprised to hear they had recently reopened. It felt dated. We had to ask for utensils and wait quite a while to get them (There were no place settings on neighboring tables or I would simply have gotten it myself). They didn’t check on coffee refill. Finally, we asked for 1 refill and got billed for 3. Be aware… They advertise free coffee with breakfast but charge 2.99 for refills. I think they should get rid of the gimmick and just charge for coffee because it would be better than upsetting a customer.

Good service. Good atmosphere. The food was good but oddly bland. Usually cholula hot sauce is very strong..this seemed to be very watered down, or restaurant depot brand in a cholula bottle.. French fries were great. Apple chocolate pancakes were interestingly different. Unfortunately both the bathrooms sure smelled like a bathroom but were clean. Overall a positive experience

A delightful old fashioned American diner. Food is a bit pricey. Had the home made chicken soup, very tasty. Prime rib hoagie was quite good and plenty. Very clean place. Attentive waiter. Free parking and with a ramp for accessibility. Easy to find place. Not very busy on a Columbus night.

Old school dinner. I hope the place will be there for a long long time. Similar places like this one near New York city are mostly gone. Food is typical dinner food, it’s nostalgicly good. The people who work there have a lot of personalities, the fun part! Enjoyed the experience!

What can I say? A classic, old world diner. Good service, nice staff. Good food.

One thing that makes me laugh every time is asking what the “wappies” are. The menu item is “Waffles”, but the menu typeface makes it look like it says wappies.

Good comfort food in an old world New York diner.

They were out of 2 things on the menu, and one menu said lunch came with a soda, the other didn’t, so of course they didn’t honor it. Got a very dry turkey sandwich so had to ask for mayo. I used to go here decades ago. Gone down hill.
