I really like this place. The food is great, you can taste quality and freshness. Service is extremely friendly. The menu has plenty of options to please any palate. I’m very picky about pancakes and they have the best pancakes I’ve ever had at any restaurant. It can be a bit of a trip for some people, but in my opinion, definitely worth the drive.

Stop what you’re doing and get the Allies donut French toast. Even if you need to split it with someone, order it. It’s so light and fluffy.
The 2 egg breakfast was the perfect amount of food with some great thick cut bacon. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and the service was excellent with some very friendly and smiling faces.

Fortune favors the bold, and if you’re going to name your restaurant “Excellent”, it damn well better be. Well my foodie friends, seek this place out this weekend because “Excellent Breakfast” could very well be an understatement in Burriville RI. The cook /owner is a one woman army back in the kitchen, and she does to local ingredients what Picasso did to a canvas, create masterpieces. I just cannot think of anything else to emphasize just how next level that meal was. Check out the bacon. You had to cut it with a knife!!!! Amazing breakfast.

Driving to Excellent Breakfast through the rolling hills and charming hamlet that surround it is a delightful appetizer in itself. Entering the restaurant is a cool transition to a clean pallette. Simple geometry, basic colors and cool tunes unclutter the moment. The eye is drawn toward the back, past the simple booths filled with happy faces. There understated floral arrangements and a smiling wait staff (Sam in my case) are very welcoming. Past a black tile pass-through window like a framed gallery installation, is the gleaming kitchen. When I was there on a Thursday morning the owner, Estrelliana, was cooking. She learned her trade from the family pizza business next door, but this was clearly an artist at work. Plate after plate of magazine worthy dishes kept appearing through the frame. Every one seemingly more interesting than the last. I couldn’t decide (as usual) so I ordered Sam’s favorite: hash and eggs, toast and coffee. It came out fresh and fast with a flourish of parsley. The hash, fresh corned beef cut into perfect strips with pleasantly crispy potatoes , was delicious. The eggs were on point as ordered and the thick cut toasted bread was high quality with plenty of butter.
Sam was kind enough to chat with me while I ate, but never took her eye of the other customers and topped off my coffee right on time. With a 20% tip the whole experience came to $12.85. More than fair for the quality.
This is the beginning of the third year of Estrelliana’s wonderful Excellent Breakfast. If quality of experience means something to you I wouldn’t miss it. If Estrelliana ever decided to stretch her legs this combination of technical prowess, artistic feel and business acumen would be successful in any location. North Smithfield can only hope family keeps her close.

The environment is so friendly and bright! It feels cozy and welcoming. I love that the booths are tall so you get a little bit more privacy. The food is delicious and the servers are wonderful. I typically have Kalin and she is sweet and welcoming. I 100% recommend this place, especially because it is small and local.

They have outdoor seating at the moment (early September) and they prefer you order online but the service and foods were great quality. The prices are reasonable. Just be aware they are only open til 1pm.

Every time we come the food is superb. The bacon while pricey is worth it. The home fries are roasted potatoes. Most of their products are locally sourced. I’ve had several of the omelettes and loved them. Generously portioned with home fries and toast. The Allie’s doughnut french toast I’ve been told is amazing; along with their grilled quick bread of the day. Not cheap but well worth it!
