First time coming here and man was it good. The pulled pork is fantastic and you can smell the meats cooking on the pit as you pull into the parking lot. My husband said the baked beans and coleslaw were really good as well as the Mexican corn bread. Will definitely be returning here again.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. We love their BBQ/pulled pork. We’ve been wanting to try their other meats, but the pulled pork is SO good!

We payed 28 bucks for 2 lbs of BBQ this evening. It was so dry that it totally sucked. I’ve been eating this BBQ for well over 40 yrs and just wanted to let y’all know that you are officially fired!! 14$ per lb for that shit is rediculous!!!!!

Once you get past the fact that, yes, it really IS a gas station, the takeout food is actually pretty good. We missed out on the chicken and ribs (which had sold out by early afternoon), so we grabbed a bunch of pulled pork, along with some potato salad and cole slaw. The pork was good, not great, but the sides (potato salad and cole slaw) were delicious. Definitely try the hot vinegar. Also, we devoured two of their pies (cherry and fudge).

This place is literally a tiny gas station and convenience store, with a small restaurant tucked away in the back, left of the store. It is quite run-down and looks like it’s never been remodeled or updated since the day they opened.
Facing the registers, on the left hand side, is a counter where you can order their bbq by the pound (chicken is served only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays). They also have a refrigerated case to purchase their coleslaw, potato salad, pies, etc.. I assume you’re able to order anything off of their restaurant menu at the to go counter as well.
If you prefer to have your meal there, head towards the back left side of the store where they have a small restaurant seating area. I opted to purchase the pulled pork by the pound, grab a couple of coleslaw containers, and a bag of buns to make the pulled pork sandwiches at home (don’t forget the bbq sauce!)
I ordered 1.5 pounds of pulled pork, 1 large bbq sauce, 2 large containers of coleslaw, and a package of 12 buns which came out to $25. My only complaint is the packaging they put the meat in. The juices basically disintegrated the paper bowl it was placed in (wrapped with plastic wrap) and had I not gone home to place it in a bowl, it would’ve gotten all over the place.
Now the taste? Absolutely fantastic! The coleslaw was a bit too runny and vinegary for the teenagers liking, but I enjoyed it. The coleslaw provided a nice sweet and sour balance with the bbq pork.
Parking is limited but I’m sure with the quick turnarounds, you won’t have to wait long for a space. And the establishment is wheelchair accessible.

I love some good BBQ ribs and smoke my own. That said the very first thing that tells me if it is a real BBQ joint is the ribs. The ribs were moist BUT that’s where the “good” stops. A rookie mistake….they left the membrane on them…. Seemed as there was no rub put on them as they were very bland nor was there a smoke ring….on it or the pulled pork.
Short of it save your money and hit up Freddy’s.
