We finally got the chance to grab a meal at Evo and the wait was it worth it. The moment you arrive and are greeted sets the meal up for a superb experience. We had the pleasure of dining at the chefs counter overlooking the kitchen. The bartenders who hosted us were fantastic. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Drinks were prepared well and absolutely on point. As for the food, well it’s simply perfection. Mediterranean is growing on me slowly, but had my original experiences been at Evo it might be my diet. Seriously, well done by the entire staff. Come for the food…enjoy the experience.

Fantastic dinner place. The food was just amazing and the staff was spectacular. The menu changes frequently and you can’t go wrong with whatever you order.

This place is awesome! I love restaurants that let you “order as you go”. Very similar to Regards and Broken Arrow in Portland, even though they are different styles of food. You are able to try so much more food while not getting full until the end of your meal. 10/10 would recommend, especially the roasted peppers.

My girlfriend and I had an incredible meal and experience at Evo! She is Lebanese and raved about the Labneh. They even had a Lebanese wine on the menu, which was delightful. All of the food we had was top notch and the small plates made for such a fun dining experience where sharing food was encouraged and we could talk about the dishes together. Our servers were so friendly and made the whole night even better! We will be back in the future, no doubt!!!

I had the tasting menu. The first 5 dishes (fish and appetizer) were very good to excellent. Unfortunately, both “land” courses were not. The chicken was overcooked and nearly inedible, while the lamb flavors were disjointed and not cohesive.

The service at Evo rates 5 stars. The food loses a star on our chicken shawarma entree, a lean mainstay of Middle Eastern cooking, that was served, oddly, with a large measure of chicken skin. The main plates are small servings meant for sharing, so for a good part to be skin was disappointing.

Fantastic service, great drinks, and absolutely delicious food. I highly suggest you sit at the “chef’s window” a bar in front of the kitchen which is open to the restaurant for viewing. You can’t go wrong with anything you order on the menu!

Absolutely incredible food tasting experience. The flavors of all of our selections were unique and invigorating. Presentation of each dish was fabulous, and we loved to choose from so many healthy options. Service from everyone was casual but professional. Ambiance was excellent. In Portland, it is missing the rustic charm of an old world building, but the huge glass to ceiling windows give everyone a view of two hustling Old Port streets complete with people and vehicle traffic of all types. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Portland, if that is even possible.

This was our first date night since having our daughter and EVO absolutely delivered. We were seated in one of the best seats in the house. Our server, Alice, was amazing and made the experience so wonderful. She took our preferences and not sure if she influenced our tasting menu, but we got everything we wanted. The food was incredible and we left feeling full and so satisfied. I’ve never been a huge fan of cod, but the cod dish was one of our favorites of the tasting menu. Everything was extremely tasty and EVO has quickly become one of our favorites in Portland. I can’t believe this was our first time! We’ll be returning again and again. It made the occasion so special and memorable for us. We’re very grateful! Took a couple of photos, but we were enjoying the food so much, I forgot to take more!

We were visiting Portland for a day made a reservation for the tasting menu. The dishes were surprisingly top notch and the staff was also on point. We did the wine pairing in addition to the tasting menu. The waitress and bartender were very generous with the drinks and had a lot of knowledge of how and why the wines went with each dish. Out of all the dishes we tasted, the highlights for me were the quail, haddock, steak, carrots, and sorbet. The quail was perfectly cooked. Skin was nice and crisp and the meat inside remained moist and packed with flavor. The haddock had a light crumble or breading on top and somehow the interior was light and super flaky. Just a really well cooked piece of fish. The wild berry sorbet tasted quite refreshing at the end of the meal. Overall an excellent experience well worth the price. Would highly recommend a visit.
