Went during the soft open period. Food was excellent for a college town. Service was slower than I’m use to but they are a newly opened restaurant. So working out the kinks is expected. I wish there was pork belly on the menu, half expected it to be there, but was not available. The bone was good, could have an Asian Herbal variation. Overall, pretty good. Hope to see this place gain traction and stay around for a while.
Servers came out quick, I tried the Thai tea and it didn’t taste too sweet. I’m not too big on sugar & sweet things so this was a plus. Good quality broth, tomato is one of my favorites. The spicy one hit the spot, not too little of spice and not too much. Prices weren’t bad, worth it for 1 person or 4 people. Not as much selection for ingredients but I think that’s okay. This felt more focused on quality over quantity.
Hoping this place stays and I plan to come back more often.
The server was often not there physically, and when the melamine cup used for hot tea cracked and spilled, just stared at the increasing puddle for a solid ten seconds before leaving to bring back paper towels.
The food was so-so. The broths (had mushroom and spicy) were flavorless. Both the broths and my taro tea tasted like they were made from powder. The meats were good but there isn’t much when they cook a bit. Doubt that I will be back, but do want to try again at a more established restaurant.
I want to eat there everyday with my friends but it’s not reasonable
But I know I want to come back there as soon as I can. And hopefully they’re gonna be full of Lotus Root too
The Meat(beef & lamb) portion size is good but the seafood and noodle portions were a bit small but good. The lettuces and cabbage portions were good, but the daikon and lotus portions were small but good.
The 1 Server that seem to be operating the entire shop was good at explaining how to do hot pot to unfamiliar guest, which intern took a toll on helping other guest, so service was a bit slow and lacking follow-ups on guest that were eating. Overall it is good and worth the wait.
