Stopped in 7/4/2023 for lunch. It was busy. Was told we needed a reservation, but the kind hostess found us a spot very quickly. Waitress was friendly and service was very fast. We ordered pasta bowls, the entree’s were out just as we were finishing our salads. The lobster pasta was wonderful and my husband said the same about the Cajun pasta. Our new favorite spot to stop to eat in Ely.

We knew the Evergreen restaurant was busy so we asked the bar if we could sit at the bar tables in the lobby of the hotel. Two other families came in after us and sat down at the other bar tables. Brandi Richards brought their menus first, their drinks first and their orders taken before she even came over to our table. We had to go back into the bar to ask for menus as Brandi skipped right by us. Finally, she came back with menus and got our drink orders. Brought our drinks and she told us it could be an hour for food, we decided to order and our waitress knew that however Brandi didn’t take our order nor ever come back to our table. However, she did go back to the other two bar tables also in the hotel lobby… not to mention looked over at our table. This was probably the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant/bar. It’s one thing to be busy, it’s another to blatantly ignore a table when they can see you assisting the other two tables right next to us. Also, If Being “short staffed” is the excuse it’s better to have less employees who actually want to provide good customer service and actually do their job opposed to being adequately staffed with under par/inadequate servers.
