A Pittsburgh staple! The perfect dive bar. Phil is super kind and has a great sense of humor for keeping the parking thing going for 50 years- the determination is admirable. So hilarious how annoyed people get over a parking spot.
This bar has lots of character. It’s a true dive. Smoke machine for cigarettes, skill games, cash only, don’t expect fancy $15 cocktails, they have great cold beers on draft- all the classics, the glass is always ice cold which makes all the difference. The food is AMAZING. Try the tacos & the quesadilla!! I was skeptical at first, but found that the food is fantastic. Honestly, some of my favorite Mexican food in the city, and for a reasonable price.
Give this place a try. Yinz won’t regret it!

Always wondered what it was like in here and finally made it for lunch recently! The partnered with Taquito’s taco truck for the food and it is delicioso! I tried the loco tacos with the chicken tinga and loaded toppings. Will definitely be back to check out more of the menu.

Absolutely fantastic tacos, and the homemade salsa’s were great (be warned the spicy one isn’t playing). I had the al pastor, the tinga, and the bistec, all were superb.
One of my new favorite bars in Pittsburgh

Had passed this place a few times and it had been closed. Was surprised to see it open on Boxing Day.
Was even more surprised by the excellent Mexican food, the best I’d had in PGH and maybe better than most places I’d been in NYC.
The owner Phil was genial and welcomed a regular in and talked as I ate at the bar. Beer was cheap and looked good but I was recovering from a cold so I skipped it.
Given the quality of the other Mexican food I’d eaten in PGH, I’d say going to this place is a no brainer. They do take out and eat in but no Seamless.
The Tinga was tender and flavorful and so was the cotija and house made hot sauce. V fun to discover this hidden gem.

Food is killer. Evergreen partnered with Taquito’s. Authentic Mexican food in a dive bar. Does it get any better? Don’t expect much. Cheap beer, good food, and slow service. Just what you would expect from a bar owned by the biggest jagoff in Pittsburgh. Bring cash if you are only getting beer. If you get food, they accept cards.

I’m from Atlanta and the service and food were top tier .It’s a small intimate bar with good food.Phil was so nice, his pos system was down and he allowed me to come back the next day to pay. Plus those vegetarian nachos 10 out of 10. Homemade tortilla chips were thick enough to prevent soggy chip after sitting awhile. Definitely going back today
