We had a wonderful experience at this Nepalese and Indian restaurant. We ordered the biryani and chicken momo, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were generous, the flavors spot-on, and the prices very reasonable — excellent value for money.
To start, we were served crisp popadoms with a selection of tasty chutneys, which was a lovely touch. The food arrived quickly, and the staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. They brought over water without us needing to ask and were prompt with every part of the service.
Overall, everything from the friendly atmosphere to the quality and freshness of the food made for a really enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended.

Subject: Huge disappointment – unrecognisable from its former glory
We live within walking distance of the restaurant and decided spontaneously on Sunday evening to pop in for a meal. Unfortunately, the food was very much below the standards suggested by other recent comments.

I have a bit of history with this location; it was called the Heart of India a few years back, for which I wrote a glowing review. I had also eaten from Everest more than a year ago, but this recent visit was a shock.

The presentation was incredibly amateurish. A plate of curry with rice served on the side made it look as if I had just collected it myself from a buffet. The chef also seems to have a penchant for adding white lines of some substance to every single dish, alongside two lettuce leaves that served as a baffling and random garnish.

We ordered the Butter Chicken and the Jaipuri, both of which were inedible due to being incredibly sweet. My partner is Indian, so we are certainly not unfamiliar with authentic cuisine. When I flagged this to the waitress, she insisted that both dishes are meant to be sweet. She went on to claim that Indian dishes are either sweet or spicy hot, with nothing in between! This is, of course, untrue and a very odd stance to take.

We simply couldn’t sit and continue to eat, so we had the rest packaged up to take home for the dogs. I am very disappointed, as this was once a brilliant Indian restaurant.

Further to your response:

While I appreciate your engagement, I must firmly contest your version of events, which seems designed to obfuscate the reality of our experience rather than address it.
Regarding your citation of the poppadoms as a success: I find it rather bemusing that you deem this worthy of highlighting. Poppadoms are the absolute culinary baseline of any Indian establishment; mere competence in this area should be a given, not a metric of triumph. Even the most mediocre kitchen should navigate a poppadom without error. Similarly, while the chicken pakora and naan were adequate, they hardly compensate for the failure of the main event.
Your assertion that the main courses were “almost fully eaten” is a falsehood, evidently constructed to discredit the integrity of my review. The reality is that these dishes were barely touched. Regarding the replacement Madras provided as a takeaway, I did consume this the following day and it was, indeed, satisfactory. However, on the night in question, we chose to conclude the meal early not because we were satiated, but because the bizarre commentary from your waitress extinguished any hope of a service recovery at the table.
Despite this unfortunate episode, I am willing to afford you the opportunity to rectify this impression. I remain open to your suggestions regarding a return visit to see if your establishment can deliver the standard you claim to uphold.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Hyderabadi biryani, and I can honestly say it was the best biryani I’ve ever had. The flavours were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. My friends loved it too—everyone was genuinely impressed. Ever since I tried it for the first time, I’ve kept coming back. I even ordered a large batch for a potluck, and it was delivered beautifully. Truly outstanding!

I’ve been dining at Everest 29032 since it opened a few years ago, and it has firmly secured its place as my absolute go-to restaurant.

In May 2025, my wife surprised me by booking the restaurant to celebrate my 50th birthday, filling it with wonderful friends, an unforgettable evening made even more special by an exceptional team and truly outstanding food.

Every single dish served here is sublime. They never disappoint. Beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavour. Just typing these words has my mouth drooling. This is food that excites you before it even reaches the table.

The owners and staff are just as incredible as the food: warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. There is not one bad thing I could ever say about this restaurant.

You absolutely must try Everest 29032! This is bucket-list food in every sense of the word.
But please… please leave room for me

I feel awful that it has taken me so long to write this review, my sincerest apologies

This place is a little gem. The food is fantastic and the service exceptional. The servers are attentive but not intrusive. We were a party of eight and everything just flowed well .It has a lot of class. The ambience is calm and tasteful. What delighted me was when our meals were finished and we were handed warm, moist hand towels to wipe our sticky hands and mouths. 10/10 I definitely recommend Everest 29032 on Kinson Road.

Fantastic meal last night at Everest 29032 in Dorchester. The dips with poppadums included a delicious and unique onion salad. Our lamb and chicken dishes were tender and the sauces super tasty and prepared from scratch by a very experienced chef, who didn’t hide away in the kitchen but came out to check that everyone was happy. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very good, and the diners included younger and older couples, families and groups of friends. Highly recommended. We were glad we reserved a table as it is popular.

Been wanting to try Nepalis cuisine for a while and Everest didn’t disappoint!
What a gem of a restaurant.
Quick professional service, lovely atmosphere, clean style design with a touch of Nepal, the food was served quickly and it was just a wonderful experience.
The food was fresh and tasty, it’s more delicate in flavour then the Indian Bangladeshi food we have in England, huge portions and great flavours, we also tried the Nepalis beer and it was a bit sweet and refreshing.
We didn’t have room for desserts unfortunately but they have some really interesting options, it came about to £25 per person including starters and drink so very reasonable.
Thanks guys, we had a fab time

Always incredible food! We’ve only ever had delivery but always hot and the service is amazing. Tonight the food was delivered but the rice was not in the bag. When I called they said the rice was on the way. Only 5 minutes later the rice was delivered with an apology. They had realised just after the delivery driver had left and got someone else to bring it!
