Stopped by Evan’s Sweets with my family while staying at Four Fillies Lodge cabin rentals in Peterstown, West Virginia, and I was very impressed with Evan’s Sweets! First of all, the custard was delicious! Everything we had was great. And secondly, the shop itself is adorable. Will definitely be back when I stay again with Four Fillies Lodge!

I needed a pit stop along my drive up I-77, and this ice cream shop fit the bill. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive from the interstate, but well worth it. It’s decorated in a 50’s retro style, with indoor and outdoor seating.

The name has changed to Evan’s Sweets. The custard was delicious. The Strawberry Vanilla swirl tasted like Strawberry Nesquick. I had a peanut butter banana milkshake, and it was delicious!! They have coffee, lattes, and boba tea. The Blueberry boba was great. It had sour blueberry popping bobas. They also offer hot dogs, sliders, and grilled cheese. They have banana splits and custard “nachos,” which are made with their homemade waffle cones. There are multiple flavors for milkshakes, malts, sundaes, and floats. They have chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry custard regularly with a different weekly special flavor. This week was peanut butter.

I wanna start by saying I love this place, MOST of the time the customer service is great, Lauren, and a girl with curly blonde hair are the sweetest. But I went today and a girl named Ava who is semi-new was sooo sooo rude to me and my grandma, we asked for something and to start she insisted they didn’t sell it, so we asked the manager and she said they did, so as she was making it the same girl was mean-mugging both of us the whole time we were waiting, she also slammed the window in our face, she was extremely disrespectful and rude to us all because was told her something was on the menu when she didn’t think it was. I hope if a manager is reading this they fire her ASAP. I’m used to being treated so nicely, this was a complete turn around.

The hot fudge sundae and small chocolate custard in a waffle cone were not a disappointment. The custard tasted great and the waffle cone had a good flavor. We will be back. Love the atmosphere and customer service.
