How this place doesn’t have a months long waiting list is beyond me. Food, drinks and service was excellent. Fresh & Flavorful! The holiday decor was immaculate. They throw summer bashes and host large events too. Can’t wait to be back for sushi Wednesdays!

I visited Evaga Desert Kitchen recently with a party, and unfortunately, the service was a major letdown. While the rest of my group had their orders taken and served, my order was somehow skipped entirely despite 6 other entries going in before me. To make matters worse, the server eventually came by to ask if she should ‘cancel’ the order—an order that had never been taken in the first place. Sitting with an empty plate while the rest of the table eats is never a good experience. I hope management can look into their ordering system and staff communication.

Great service, ambiance, food and vibes are great. Multiple TVs for watching football. Easy parking. Got the salmon croissant with cream cheese capers and side salad.

Yesterday, my daughters and I attended Brunch with Santa, and I want to start with the positives because there were many.
Atmosphere & décor: 10/10. Absolutely beautiful. Whoever decorated this place deserves a huge shout-out — easily one of the most gorgeous spots in town. The outdoor area was especially lovely, and overall the space has so much potential.
Santa himself was also a 10/10. He was amazing — fun, interactive, and truly wonderful with the kids. He was definitely the highlight of the experience.
That said, for an event specifically marketed as a family/kids brunch, the menu and service didn’t quite match the concept. The service was very mid, and the menu felt more geared toward adults. There was no kids’ menu, no fun or themed pancakes (like character or face pancakes), and surprisingly, no hot chocolate. For a brunch spot, only offering regular coffee — and then placing an entire carton of half-and-half on the table when asking for cream — felt a bit off.
I truly loved the setting and believe this place has incredible potential. If you plan future events like Brunch with Santa, it would be great to see more kid-focused touches: a children’s menu, fun food options, hot chocolate, and perhaps a few more interactive activities for kids.
I’d love to see similar themed events for Easter or Halloween — with a bit more focus on the little ones — because I would absolutely come back.

Evaga might be El Paso’s best kept secret. From the second I walked in, I knew this Desert Kitchen was special. The decor is modern and clean, the seating area/bar are open and spacious, and the staff are warm and instantly welcoming. The ambiance beckons you in, but where Evaga truly shines is the quality of their food and cocktails. Jessica and Chito went out of their way time and time again to make sure everything I ordered was made and served to perfection. The quality and service was so exceptional that I cancelled my afternoon plans to stay there longer. Evaga is a must-return (often) restaurant and bar for me. Regardless of where you live in El Paso, make the trip to come check it out; it’s so worth it!
These photos are just a sampling of what I ordered throughout the day…trust me when I say EVERYTHING was spectacular.

Well what a disappointment. Came here with my significant other for the Valentines event. Made reservations. Arrived and the place was cold, it was a chilly night and they had the doors open and Jaz band playing. The atmosphere was just not there. Was hoping for a romantic setting given it was Valentines day event. Decorations were lacking and they seemed to be short staff as our waiter Vincent went MIA for a good while. He did apologize and stated they had him making drinks…..
So I was under the impression I had reserved a 3 course meal for each of us not a shared 3 course meal.
Given it was told the amuse-bouche was shared it never specified that the appetizer was shared and the dessert as well. Idk you tell me by the pictures.
I will certainly give 5 star for presentation on the food, as it was pleasant to the eyes. The taste was between a 3 and 4 on some of the plates. Our shared dessert had a hint of that refrigerator taste.
For a low price of approximately $200 this was certainly not worth the experience. Execution, atmosphere and service could have been a lot better. Given this, my significant other was disappointed.
The real kicker is we overheard one of the waiters state they were running out of a certain dish… I know I read in other reviews they had this issue in the past.
Anyhow I don’t think I’ll ever do an event dinner with them again given the bad experience and high price.

Beautiful location. A bit confusing because the Castillano I know is on the other side of N Mesa. This is in the Montecillo area. The food is really good. I had the breakfast burrito and it was done right. We also had the French toast which is worth trying.
The waiter was very attentive. Over all pleased.

Had such a great evening at Evaga. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the whole place felt clean and well kept. The christmas decorations were a cute suprise for my little and a nice touch Evaga incorporated. The food was amazing. everything tasted fresh and came out quickly.
Our server Vincent was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and gave us great recommendations. He checked in just the right amount and made us feel really taken care of.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and amazing service.

Waitress and manager were very rude, rushed us, and told a few of our friends that they couldn’t order because we already had 6 pending entrees. We reserved for a party of 11 so this should have been stated to us. They had a very passive aggressive attitude and made everyone feel uncomfortable. Not to mention today is my friends birthday, so we were looking forward to trying out this restaurant. I arrived a little later than the group and I wasn’t even acknowledged until I stopped the waitress and requested my drink.

This hidden gem was quite the breath of fresh air from the time we walked in and out. It’s an upscale bar and grill with really good food and better service. Their signature cocktails are delicious and not over powering. I had their old-fashioned and it was one of the best I’ve had in a while. The only downside was the shrimp cocktail. Way too salty, and not enough shrimp. Wouldn’t recommend it. We ordered the loaded fries with burnt ends, these were superb. The burnt ends were soft, smokey and not over seasoned. The margherita was thin, crunchy and delicious. To wrap up, creme brulee cheesecake. OMG, NY style cheesecake with a sugary crunchy crust topped with fresh berries and whipped cream. Our server John was attentive, courteous and the type of server you would request again. This is a DEFINITE place to return to. They also offer brunch on Sundays. Great job!
