If you’re looking for great authentic german food, this is a must go to. I ordered the goulash, and it was amazing. The hours are kind of hit or miss, but I recommend going after 5pm for the full dinner menu.

Waited a long time to visit here. It was worth it. Very authentic , great tasting food. Atmosphere was like going back in time to a German bier house. Music playing, owner was gracious and most importantly; they understood and served German biers. I’m definitely going back. What a German Gem in Dubuque.

Service was great! The hour’s are quirky, and the menu options aren’t available during certain times. But other than that can’t complain. If you’re looking to have a traditional German meal go during dinner hour’s. They don’t offer the full menu during lunch hours.

Great place. Food was fantastic. 2 of us ordered Hungarian goulash. I liked it. Plenty of sauce. The other ordered Rouladen. It was excellent. German music playing. Home cooked food. We had Bavarian cream cake for dessert. Wow!!!! It was wonderful. Perfect service. Friendly. I will be back!!

Gott im Himmel! This was so necessary today. Absolutely wonderful. My wife and I split a Kassler Ribchen. Soup was potato and cabbage. Side of red cabbage and a mouthful of Kassler and homemade Spätzle noodles made me think I was in Germany.
Chocholate Bavarian cream cake with a cup of coffee to round off the meal. Taste that cream in the homemade frosting.
