Having a Polish branch of my family via marriage,
I experienced many of these treats growing up;
So it was a real surprise to find such an authentic Polish store here in Riverhead.
You probably find better quality here than in gentrified Greenpoint nowadays.

Today (4/15/25) first time I shopped. Very busy place and small.
Above the hanging Kielbasa they have the description written in Polish. I speak the language but do not read Polish. Very embarrassing since I had to ask the girl to translate to English. Purchased the smoked Kielbasa and a Cherry/Cheese Babka with crumb topping. I felt that the Babka was moist and smelled delicious. I hope it is. The Kielbasa has a nice aroma, too. My car smells like Kielbasa. Not bad, yea?
I usually shopped at the Polish Deli on Main St., Riverhead, but found out it is no longer existing there. Where did they go?
So, I came here. Service was pleasant and the girls behind the counter were accommodating. Not bad experience. Positive experience. I will come back if the Kielbasa and Babka tastes good when I serve it to family at Easter Sunday breakfast.
I saw they have other hot food behind the counter. However, it was becoming crowded and didn’t want to tie up the line.

Wow ! I’m so glad I found this place. Small little store with great food. The home made smoked bacon is excellent and has no nitrites. I also bought some smoked kielbasa that is wonderful. Nice woman waited on me.
Skip the Polish restaurant across the street and take home their stuffed cabbage instead.
Also the best blintzes ever.

What a wonderful jewel! If you enjoy cuisine from different cultures it’s a must you stop in. They offer a variety of Polish food’s from frozen to fresh and prepared hot meals. Plus they make their own sausages, the kielbasa is amazing and available in a low fat variety. It’s our go to when we want to enjoy a Ukrainian meal on the go or at home. Everything we have tried has always been excellent and delicious. Stop in they’re always very welcoming and friendly. Don’t pass them by your taste buds will thank you.

The Polish deli I visited was alright, offering a decent selection of Polish food items. They had the basics like sausages, pierogies, and Polish bread, which were satisfactory in terms of taste and quality.

The deli’s atmosphere was simple and functional, without any particularly distinctive decor or ambiance to speak of. It felt more like a practical place to pick up Polish groceries rather than a unique culinary experience.

The staff was helpful enough, assisting with my purchase, but there wasn’t much in the way of a personal touch or any special recommendations.

In summary, this Polish deli provided the essentials of Polish cuisine without any frills. It’s a suitable spot to grab some familiar Polish items if you’re in need, but it may not leave a lasting impression if you’re looking for a more immersive or unique Polish culinary experience.

Everything you need for your traditional Polish meals. Excellent selection of kielbasa and other meats, pierogies, jarred beets, noodles, plus meals-to-go including golumpki, mashed potatoes and breaded meats.

Place is small, lot’s of hard to find Polish items. It’s changed a lot since the last time I was here many years ago. Glad its here, but it would be nice if they spoke English more frequently. It would help because others could learn the names of products they might be interested in. And maybe even have customers share how they use these items. Just a thought so others don’t feel alienated.

Their hot food is really good and the selection of kielbasa is outstanding. You can find many items from Poland there- my complaint is the service. I have had my hot soup container not fully closed, stuff cabbage was packed in a foam container that wasn’t closed properly and leaked all over my items. While ordering the lady would have a conversation with the other staff and has stopped to ring up another customer in the middle of taking care of me. The service is really bad. If it wasn’t for the quality of food I would not shop there!!!
