Definitely some speakeasy history here and one can even see the old pattern still on the floor at the bar of old bowling lanes and what appears to be a small dancing area.
The atmosphere is eclectic of days gone by but the food is better than anything north of mid-state (Bangor) and an unexpected gem. Highly recommend the trip if in northern Maine.

This unassuming building has total speakeasy vibes and really great staff. We stopped by off the trails and tried to keep any mud from the rainy day from tracking in – and they never made us feel unwelcome with our disheveled look after 200 miles of trail riding. They had a big rush of tables all at once so the food took some time but they took care of us! We left feeling like we had just had a nice dinner at a friend’s house. Highly recommend.

Best steak I have ever eaten in a restaurant! Our waitress was very nice! The atmosphere is great and the prices are comparable to other restaurants in the same category.

Our 1st time as patrons 3 weeks ago. As many of these reviews underscore very friendly and accommodating service. We figured the extended amount of time to finally be served our orders was that the scalloped potatoes cook in their individual ramekin. No complaints other than the featured Aussie ribeye. Should have sent it back or just not struggled to eat it, can’t recommend for human consumption. But the pooch waiting at home thoroughly enjoyed what was salvaged from the overwhelming gristle.

A PERFECT example of “don’t judge a book by its cover”. Looked like I was going in to my buddies basement, and you walk in to a cool, welcoming tavern of sorts. Great people, just enjoying each other’s company. Like “Cheers” in the North Woods style. And the food? DON’T get me started. I had the haddock, and my lovely partner had the steak tips (Wow! Tender!!…yeah, I tried ’em ) Great food, I’m telling you. “Don’t Judge A Book….” Awesome place!

Been to Eureka Hall Restaurant twice now 1st Business Dinner 2nd with my wife, both visits were absolutely amazing. The food is great and service is excellent. It’s not everyday you find a place that can cook a steak as well as they do.

After 240 miles out on the trails from Fort Kent to Beau Lake in Allagash to Portage and points in between, sitting down upstairs to an exceptional meal was more than a pleasant surprise. Great service but not rushed left time to relax with good conversation among friends. Only letdown was we came too late to enjoy the famous bread pudding. Huge amount of sled traffic had the same intention of finishing off a good meal with this delight.
Lisa went above and beyond making sure our experience would leave a good impression in hope of a return customer for our next snowmobile trip.
Thank you Lisa.
