DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!
Let me tell you, this spot ain’t just a disappointment, it’s a full-blown **LIABILITY**!
What was supposed to be a chill night turned into a scene straight out of a movie…
I’m talking a no-holds-barred brawl poppin’ off between the staff and customers. People throwing hands like it was a main event, and the vibe went from unwind to **UNHINGED** in seconds. My safety, and everybody else’s, instantly went from concern to **CRITICAL**.
But the real shocker? The management condoning their staff to fight patrons!
When the people in charge are encouraging chaos instead of de-escalation, you’re not just at the wrong place, you’re in a straight-up **DANGER ZONE**.
This used to be the place to go to when it was the New Town House
you got good music, food and a great time, along with an enjoyable atmosphere.
Now? It’s lost its soul, and it feels like a slap in the face when you try to support our own and get hit with this kind of toxicity.
And that ain’t even the half. The waitstaff had an attitude problem like they were doing *us* a favor. Asked for a manager, and she was even worse – no chill, no customer service, just plain rude.
Then there’s the **HEALTH HAZARD**
the food smelled like it was spoiled.
I had a small bite and it tasted like it was cooked in ancestral grease, stale and suspect.
The restrooms? Filthy is an understatement – a **biohazard** waiting to happen. The smell was so fishy I almost threw up trying to hold my breath to use the restroom.
And don’t even get me started on the drinks, clearly watered down, probably refilling liquor bottles with bottom-shelf swill.
That’s not just cheap, that’s shady and a straight-up disrespect to your patrons’ wallets.
It’s clear there’s a serious lack of integrity, character, and professionalism from the top down.
This ain’t just bad business; it’s dangerous, disrespectful, and frankly, disgusting.
I won’t be back, wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy, and honestly, I don’t see this establishment surviving much longer.
It’s a ticking time bomb, and it needs to be defused.

I enjoy myself at Eugene’s having somewhere local to unwind from a long week is great. I really looked forward to the Karaoke on Friday from We Love Karaoke, the girl has one of the best Karaokes I have been to. I know any song I give her she had it. Last week was I was amped and ready to sing but was told no Karaoke. Please bring her back this week I need to sing and she for sure lives the place up.

They are frauds don’t trust your information with them they’re employees charged my card 2 different times then the manager charged it again they said they would fix it and never did. Each charge was a different amount that I did not authorize any tips or anything. Never again they sent me through the ringer it wasn’t ine charge it was a total of 3 charges 1 on a card and 2 on another card because your employee told me the first charge didn’t go through when it actually did so i gave you guys another card and yall charged that one two different times. Why wouldn’t think something fishy is going on in your establishment !? Did i call my bank yes i did they even felt something wasn’t right when each different charge was a different price for the same thing. So im intiled to my opinion about my service and how i was treated i cant speak for no one else but 2 people spoke on similarities if what happened. Get better attitudes to theres no professionalism at all oh and ibecmode thing get some real Tequila because what yall served me was not Casamigos that bottle did not have plastic around the top and i woke up with theee worst headache. Im dure people can relate when they drink the same thing for years you know the taste so fix that problem as well and you just might be successful .

Went to have a nice night and it turned into a movie. The DJ was rude to a group of women for asking for a song. They stopped the music, and proceeded to give a speech concerning the crowd as if we were in school. This used to be a nice place where people could relax and hear live bands. I will not be returning nor would I recommend.. it’s sad when you try to support your people and it turns bad. I believe the situation that took place could have been handled better by dealing with it in silence no need to disrupt the entire establishment.. poor management and customer service.

Recently went here on Saturday, 7/19/25. Very poor experience. I’ve been going to this establishment since the early 2000’s. The soul of the Townhouse is NO LONGER. The remodeling and our waitress was the only positive experience. The ladies restroom was filthy. The oil used to fry our chicken and fish tasted very dirty. (Former restaurant owner) free popcorn served was a nice gesture but each batch was burnt. The speakers were going in and out. It took the DJ over an hour to get the music playing.
The DJ got into a verbal altercation with women requesting a song. Stopped the music to yell for security to have her removed, as if he was being attacked, It was really comical but extremely unfortunate. I couldn’t understand why the place was empty on a Saturday night. Tons of parking, not having to stand in a line was a first! We arrived approximately 9 PM, left near midnight, not many patrons. After seeing the animated, dramatic Dj verbally disrespect WOMEN it was time to exit. The owner Eugene grabbed the mic yelling he opened his establishment for us, as if we were at a Martin Luther King parade. The patrons should have NEVER been aware of any conflict. Any business owner knows and understand de-escalation should always be the focus. My husband and I will not be going back.
In closing.. most people don’t understand when going into business, you can have the money to open the business, but lack integrity, character and professionalism to keep the doors open. Mannnn did we miss seeing Leon, Kelly and the best Dj, Dj Slim. I don’t see this establishment lasting much longer. I Don’t think they will survive. Really, really bad energy within those walls. The DJ carried himself like a female on her cycle in lack of better words. Bad, bad, for business. It doesn’t feel the same, Very unfortunate situation.

This place is HORRRIBLE!!!!!! If you are visiting out of town & want to have a good time DO NOT GO HERE!! From the Dj to the owner the professionalism was horrible, the new dj at this restaurant is a violent man!! This man can not be trusted the way I swear him speak to two elder women the night me and my friends went here! I was sooooo disgusted how the owner came to the dj’s defense behind two women in there 60’s just trying to request a song! This man flipped completely out!!!! Before any of this happened when I first walked in I couldn’t believe the smell! It smelled like a sewer I already wanted to turn around and leave but my friend forced me to enjoy the vibe so I did within 30 min of being there I saw this other party be disrespected horribly by the dj and the owner himself Eugene the owner got on the mic and announced for the elderly women to leave his restaurant he was sooooo disgusted disrespectful it was so distasteful watching the dj disrespect WOMEN at that elder women who I’m sure could have been his owner mothers age! To be disrespected in a atmosphere you spend your money at is beyond me! The drink were always garbage, watered down, fried food tasted old im sure it was the grease they are using they probably havnt flushed it in months ain’t no telling!! They are trying to get you for your money because there most likely struggling the only perk in this place was the waitress she was decent besides that, horrible smell, disrespectful dj, disrespectful and unprofessional owner, distasteful food, and watered down drinks!!! Definitely not a good time more like a hard time!!

Eugenes Live LA (formerly The New Townhouse) was great! Came here today with my friend for happy hour and was very pleased with the service! The food was great and our Servers, Aja and Shanay were absolutely awesome!! I thought the atmosphere was great, and would definitely recommend stopping by this lounge if you’re in the LA area!
