We decided to swing back into Eugene’s at Bottlehouse after being gone for a hot minute (or maybe a decade—time is fake). Walked in on a Saturday afternoon to find the place… let’s call it… exclusive. Like private event exclusive, except the event was just us and a bartender who appeared emotionally committed to her phone.
Beer list? Massive. Like—could be its own novel massive.
Execution? Ehhhhh. Wifey got the seasonal Christmas Ale that tasted like someone whispered “holiday spice” over the glass, and I ordered a hazy IPA that was definitely hazy, as in “might be hiding secrets.” I think having 30+ beers is cool, but after tasting them, I suddenly understand why restaurants have small menus: focus is a thing.
Food time. We ordered:
Tinman Burger
Chicken Sandwich
Spiced Cucumber App (which translates to “things you could definitely make at home with stuff from aisle 3”)
The Winner: Chicken Sammy. The sauce did the heavy lifting—like, CrossFit-level lifting.
The Fries: Amazing. Crispy. Hot. Enough to feed the table, the next table, and a family of raccoons on the patio.
Cucumber App: Good, but also gave strong “Pinterest recipe board” energy.
All in all—did we leave hungry? Nope.
Did we leave plotting our triumphant return? Also nope.
Not bad, not unforgettable—just a solid “fed and watered” experience in the world of better options at better prices.
Would I come back? Yeah, maybe… but I’d bring lower expectations and my own seasoning blend.

I recently had a Birthday Party for my son, and I’m so glad we went with Bottle House and Eugene’s Kitchen. I have gone to Eugene’s several times for carryout, and it has always been great. This was my first experience with their catering, and the food was consistently great! They were very attentive during setup and made sure all the trays were stocked throughout the party. I highly recommend their catering for your next party!

The restaurant is located on the back side of a bar/brewery. The food was great. A little expensive but worth it. We drove from Toledo just to try it. The bun on the smash burger was perfect. My husband thought the cucumber salad was different but okay. The fries were really good. Service was great as well. They bring the food to you when it is ready. Oh and the chicken tenders were the best.

We’ll have a good Burger is a necessity, while visiting Cleveland the Concierge recommended this community restaurant. I didn’t mine the drive but was highly doubtful with the Smash Burger… A little too much smashed and a lot over cooked. There was no taste to the meat at all the Special Sauce was good to mask the lack of taste to the burger. Maybe that is why is the Tinman Burger, there is not heart and no taste, the fries ( an extra cost ) were either old or just over cooked,,, like rubber.
Well now I know the person who recommended had no clue.. or maybe just maybe it’s Me. I have poor taste.

Unsure how I allowed Eugene to elude me all of this time! Stopped in recently to taste through their menu and fell in love with their well-crafted, delicious comfort food. Chicken tenders, house burger, schnitzel, fries, dressed Brussels, mac and cheese, etc. all on-point, and can be paired with a selection of house sauces (up to nine). Full bar and Bottle House’s stellar meads, beer, and ciders on-site. Service is excellent, and I can’t wait to return.

Located in the back of @bottlehouselakewood hands down best chicken strips I’ve had, with the honey drizzle that has a little kick on the back in. Thr fries were just like fair fries cooked to perfection and the burger just YUMMMM that special sauce hits the spot. Definitely worth stopping by just note all drinks are sold separately at the bar of the bottle house.

The burger and fries were amazing. The customer service was great! The drinks were great addition to the meal. The atmosphere was nice chill vibe an environment for family, hanging with friends, or a chill date night.

The chicken sandwich was delicious and priced fairly, and the fries were good. Unfortunately, the burgers were a huge disappointment — very small, plain, and honestly no better than a McDouble. For what we got, the $60 bill for two burgers and a chicken sandwich just wasn’t worth it, especially with fries not included. Because of that, I won’t be returning.
