We came for Valentine’s Day dinner and Etxe absolutely exceeded our expectations. Ella, our server was outstanding and the menu was so unique and fun. A true dining experience ”experience” that was so delicious and fun. The tableside gin was extra special. We can’t wait to come back and try what we didn’t order.

This was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, offering creative and well-balanced flavors. The head chef and his wife were both present and wonderfully personable, taking time to explain the vision and story behind the restaurant. We were so excited to try this new restaurant headed by the incredible David Matern and Heather Brady. It did not disappoint! We expected that the food would be fantastic and it most certainly was. There wasn’t a dish we ordered that didn’t delight the table. From starting with the marinated olives to finishing the night with the Basque cheesecake it was a meal we will remember for a long time. The tomahawk steak is a showstopper and was perfectly cooked. The drinks were also top notch and I highly recommend the gin and tonic cart to start off your night. The service was wonderful. Cam on our initial visit and Hadley on our second (yes, we immediately booked a return visit at the end of the first one) both guided us through the meal with expert hands. For a relaxed and yet very elevated meal, I don’t think you can miss with a night at Etxe. Congrats Heather and Matern! You and your staff are absolutely killing it!

We had such a wonderful experience at ETXE. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell the chef puts care into every detail.
The service was just as impressive. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. They checked in at all the right times without ever feeling intrusive.

Absolutely fantastic. We visited Etxe during their residency at Aperture. My husband is Spanish and we have not seen many restaurants who do the cuisine justice. We were ASTOUNDED by the quality of the food and so pleased to see Spanish food prepared authentically. After living in Austin for 9 years, we are constantly looking for high end, expertly crafted cuisine in Cincinnati. It’s HERE. From the gin-tonic cart to the pintxos to the bone marrow (washed down with a shot of sherry, poured right through the bone), there were simply no misses on the menu. We eyed the giant steaks but opted for the Iberico Pluma (pork shoulder steak), and I’m telling you it was the BEST dish we’ve had since moving back here. Absolutely insane and worth the price tag. We left so happy and so hopeful that Cincinnati embraces this gem of a restaurant. We want more of what this couple is doing with food and drink!! Thank you!!

Really cool spot, I was lucky enough to find a spot at the bar. It had a much better / different aesthetic than the restaurant that is there full time. The Ibérico Pluma, and the Champiñones a la plancha were amazing, I don’t think I’ve seen the Ibérico on other menu’s before. The Gin and Tonic table side is a super cool experience as well.
