Ethiopis Restaurant in Rockville is a spot for authentic Ethiopian food. The flavors are well-balanced, and the injera is freshly made. The menu items are limited but represent Ethiopian dishes to be eaten by hand like they do in Ethiopia. There are several vegetarian options, with a variety of lentils, vegetables, and stews that are both hearty and flavorful. The service is friendly and attentive. A good choice for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Ethiopian cuisine in the area.

The food was amazing! Me and my friend finished the food in 10 minutes because it was so good.
I’m so sorry to the sweet lady that was working today because it was my first time there and I rushed my order, I ate the food a bit quick, and I think I worried her into thinking that I thought she stole my head piece even though I was just asking if she saw it. It was completely my bad, I’m so sorry!!! I got too distracted cause the food was that good…

My friends and I love this place! They always have delicious honey wine, and all the selections are so yummy. We particularly love the fish! In fact, we’re now doubling down on the fish dish. Every time we go in addition to a few veggies. Really nice owner and wait staff, too.

Overall, my experience was amazing!! The environment was so beautiful, and I loved the attention to details and how it was culturally accurate. The customer service was also incredible. She made sure we were comfortable, and the food came out fairly quick considering that we came right when it opened. Don’t get me started on the food!!! That was the best food I’ve had for a long time. The tibs was DELICIOUS and I do plan on coming again. I would recommend this to anybody in the area looking to try fast service, yummy, and authentic Ethiopian food!

I got the large veggie plate because I wanted to try everything, and wow. What a great decision. I’ve never had Ethiopian food before, and this was amazinggggg. I was only in town for work, but if I could go back more frequently absolutely would.
I actually got three meals out of this- surprisingly the leftovers were a great car lunch when I pulled over to a park to sit and eat.
Parking was very easy, and the price was great for the amount and quality of food. The owner was very nice and attentive.
This has definitely inspired me to seek out Ethiopian places near my home.

This is a nice little gem in a small food mall. First time for me enjoying food here. The lady at the front desk was super nice and fun to talk with. The atmosphere is great, and if you like the diverse food of Ethiopia, then this is a good place to enjoy . There is enough parking space outside so there is no worries in that department. Bon appétit

Would share photos of the food but we are too quickly! Wonderful food and such a great spot with very personalized service. We’ve been going since it opened and it’s our favorite Ethiopian place in the area. Highly recommend!

Been here 2 months ago in November and loved it. But this time we visit the food was just meh. They were seasoned weirdly with some being overly sweet and some being too salty, and the beef tibs are very dry. Mostly importantly the Kitfo tastes like it’s been sitting in the fridge forever cus there’s a layer of fat congealing on the top even tho we ate it immediately after we got home. There’s a sign at the door saying they got new management so hopefully the food will come back to normal soon!

First time trying Ethiopian food and it’s great! The server was nice and made sure everything was to our liking. There are plenty of seats during the morning and bathrooms located at the back.
