The charcuterie board was a nice entry into charcuterie. It was pleasant, but a little basic. The handheld sandwiches are on wonderful focaccia which was the star of the overall food. I wasn’t expecting the roast beef to be as chilled as it was, but it was still nice and even better after it sat for a bit.
The real star of this location is of course the drinks. You will find excellent whiskey here and the Texas pecan old fashion was very nice.
All of the staff was super nice and attentive, we will be back for sure!
They make their soups and sandwiches fresh every morning, and the Brie & Prosciutto on focaccia was excellent — creamy, a little spicy, with just enough sweetness to keep you going back for another bite. The OG Old Fashioned also hits the spot (order it with the rye… that’s the move).
The atmosphere is dangerously comfortable. There’s a front patio for nice weather days, or you can head inside and hang out by the fireplace in the library. If you’re a book nerd, ask about the book exchange program — it fits the vibe perfectly.
This looks like a quick lunch stop, but realistically you’ll stay too long and end up ordering another round.
10/10. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the service and the menu. A true neighborhood hangout.
The atmosphere is quaint and the seating areas are small. The service was a bit slow and our drinks ran out long before being checked on for another round. This place will not be able to handle the crowds that the original place had. I do like the original better but would recommend coming here as the cocktails are worth a visit.
The cocktail menu is where this place truly shines. Each drink is thoughtfully balanced—not too sweet, not overpowering—with fresh ingredients that make all the difference. I had their signature Old Fashioned and my wife had the Amaretto Old Fashioned…both were perfection!
But here’s the real showstopper: the handmade desserts. Everything is made in-house…the Whiskey cake was moist and decadent without being heavy. My wife had the large Ube Cookie which had crispy edges giving way to a soft, gooey center.
The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between upscale and welcoming—dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a beautiful library aesthetic. Side note, you can grab a book to read if you’re looking to relax and get off the phone for a bit.
We’ll be back soon to work our way through their enticing menu, but in short…Ethel Jane delivers on both the cocktails and the sweets.
The atmosphere reminded us of a quaint restaurant in New England, very welcoming and well done!
The food definitely was amazing and as advertised. We had the ham and potato soup with rosemary focaccia bread – the mix of flavors was delicious.
We did not have dessert however the black cherry old fashioned and the sweet tea hit the spot !
Destiny was superb and very personable 🙂
Definitely plan to visit monthly as the menu changes to try the new recipes
Cheers ya’ll ! Wonderful spot in Old Town Lewisville

Compared to Bendt Distillery, it is very small, not too much room for events and accommodating to very small parties. I remember the Valentine’s Day events were becoming tradition for my wife and I; sadly those are no more. I wish them well, but they are very limited on what they can do at the new location. It’s a great place for a quiet cocktail and to read a chapter.
