It’s a beautiful, modern, and cozy place with delicious food, a DJ, and very friendly staff. They have a couple of TVs, and when one of the staff noticed we were watching a soccer match on our phone, he kindly offered to put it on the TV for us. That gesture was amazing—he approached us on his own and really tried to make it happen. The game involved a Turkish team and required additional digital support, but even though it didn’t fully work out, we truly appreciated the effort he made.

An underrated restaurant in my eyes! The happy hour deals are incredible! We got their truffles fries to start and a couple drinks and were not disappointed! We didn’t order it but you can get an entire burger for $10 during happy hour (Mon-Fri 4-6pm) which is such a steal. Instead we ordered the Cajun pasta and southern curry along with the brussel sprouts. All three were absolutely incredible and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone stopping by! The overall experience was incredible and the service was great so I definitely recommend!

Where do I start? 10s across the board. This place was a whole vibe. From the moment we walked in, we were instantly greeted. First impression beautiful, spacious, and chic decor. We were seated right away, which was a plus.

Our waitress was super sweet and helped us decide on drinks and food. The espresso martini was absolutely delicious. I’m very picky about my pancakes, but no complaints here. They were perfect even with nothing on them. I also had the steak and eggs with a salad, and the portions were more than enough.

The DJ was jamming and I honestly didn’t want to leave. I will definitely be back soon. Plus, they are part of the inKind rewards program. Highly recommend.Where do I start? 10s across the board. This place is INCREDIBLE! The food, the staff, the ambiance – everything was on-point. We had dinner here for my Sister’s birthday, and the staff did everything they could to make her feel celebrated. We had the deviled eggs, the burger, the cajun pasta, red snapper, and everything was done sooo good, but the real winning dish were the Oxtails and Grits. SO tender, and flavorful, you have to try them! If you’re a fan of whiskey, the old fashioned here is also worth the trip! Planning to go back soon for brunch. Please support this place!

ETC Chicago was a great experience from start to finish. The food came out fast, everything was fresh, and the flavors were on point. What really stood out though was the service. Syeda H took care of our table and she was excellent the whole night. She was attentive without hovering, knew the menu well, and checked on us at the right times to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell she actually cares about the guests. I’d definitely come back and would ask for her again.

We went here for a friend’s birthday. Its a beautiful restaurant. They have a special menu called the dinner experience. You can choose a cocktail, appetizer, entree and dessert. I personally decided not to get it because of the dessert options. For the table we ordered fried green tomatoes, spinach and artichoke dip and deviled eggs. The deviled eggs, you can really taste the truffle oil. The fried green tomatoes were fried perfectly but lacked something. I really enjoyed the spinach and artichoke dip. I ordered the Southern Curry with shrimp. I was quite disappointed with the flavor. There was a slight hint of curry as an aftertaste but the dish had no flavor. My friend ordered the Cajun pasta and felt the same. We both decided to take the dishes to go in hopes that we could fix at home. Initially my friend asked to take her meal to go and the bus boy took it and threw it out. The restaurant was kind enough to make her a new meal to go. My husband ordered the burger…he said he has better burgers at Buffalo Wild Wings. But in semi fair comparison he absolutely love the burgers at J Alexander.

Great food! I enjoyed my time at Etc. The staff were all very kind and made me feel welcome.

We started with the biscuits which were not my favorite, I’d probably order the cornbread next time. The ceviche was quite good— I’m very particular with ceviche and this one did not disappoint at all. It had a good amount of spice, and the coconut milk was not overwhelming at all. The mushroom tartare was also good. The bread shined through for me just as much as the tartare itself. The oxtail and grits were fantastic. It was a more savory oxtail, not sweet at all, but delicious nonetheless. I could eat an entire bowl of the fried onion garnish. 10/10. The dessert cake I wish had a lot more peaches. It was a little too heavy/doughy/ for my taste, but still had a nice flavor.

Overall, I’d come back! I’d love to try the salmon, the tomato salad, cornbread, and the Mac n’ cheese. Our service Precious was a delight. Pay Precious a whole lot more!!! Kudos for being part of the inKind network. Makes paying the bill very easy.

The ambiance and drinks set the tone for a great night. The staff was warm and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food presentation was bright, creative, and Instagram-worthy. However, the flavors didn’t quite match the aesthetics, with some dishes lacking seasoning. The standout was definitely the caviar it was super flavorful.

My mom and I were on our annual girls’ trip, and for her birthday, I wanted to treat her to a special dinner so I chose etc. I was immediately drawn to the restaurant because of the chef’s reputation, and from the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded my expectations.

We were warmly greeted at the door by a wonderful gentleman who recognized us right away and wished my mom a happy birthday it was such a thoughtful touch. Our reservation was honored promptly, and we were seated without any wait.

Our server whose name unfortunately escapes me was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. He had a genuinely positive energy and made us feel truly cared for. To celebrate my mom’s birthday, they even offered her a complimentary glass of champagne, which added a lovely, elevated touch to the evening.

What we ordered:

Steak Frites – 14 oz Porcini-Crusted C.A.B. New York Strip with Mashed Potatoes ($54)

ETCpresso Martini – Mezcal, Demerara, Espresso ($19)

I ended up updating my order since the in-person menu differed slightly from the one online, but everything worked out perfectly.

My mom and I shared the steak, and it was absolutely delicious. I even convinced her to try it cooked medium and she loved it!

The restaurant itself is beautifully maintained, and even the restrooms were spotless, which speaks to the overall care put into the space.

Honestly, I’m surprised this place isn’t packed every night it’s a hidden gem. Delicious food, outstanding service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely recommend to friends and family when they visit.

10/10 would wholeheartedly recommend!

We kicked off our evening with delightful Lemon Drops and expertly crafted Espresso Martinis, thanks to the talented mixologists Zach and Marco, who truly know how to set the mood for a memorable night.

Our server, Connor, was incredibly sweet and attentive, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. His warm demeanor added a special touch to our visit.

For dinner, we indulged in a fabulous selection of dishes. The Half Chicken was succulent and perfectly cooked, while the burger was bursting with flavor—my friend described it as “very juicy and flavorful.” The salmon was nothing short of perfection, and the oxtails paired with rich grits though they might come off as less visually appealing, were an explosion of deep, rich flavors that left me in awe. They may just be my favorite dish of the night!

As it was my friend’s birthday, we were treated to a delightful array of desserts courtesy of the extraordinary Chef Dre. We savored the tangy Key Lime Pie, the comforting Apple Pie Cobbler, and the decadent Chocolate Mousse. While the ‘Not Your Mama’s Banana Pudding’ didn’t quite capture my taste buds, it certainly had its admirers among us. Ultimately, the star of the dessert spread was the Key Lime Pie, which stole the show with its perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.

This place is undoubtedly one for the books, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful dining experience!
