I hate to complain because the food itself was good enough and the service was fast. We did a pickup order. I got wonton soup and chicken lo mein with the tiramisu Mille-crepe cake. The cake portion was like 4 small bites for $10

Under new management.(same owners as Savannah), and you can tell the difference as soon as you walk through the door! Very friendly and excellent service with great suggestions. The Beijing duck was incredible, fresh, and delicious. The Braised Shiitake Mushrooms With Choy Sum was cooked perfectly. If you like clean, real traditional, Chinese food you will love Etang. The Thai tea is so flavorful with that darkness of the tea but yet the cardamom in the finish. The hot and sour soup can stand up to Chicago, New York, and Houston… never been to China Town in San Francisco. Cannot wait to come back for DiM Sum available all day!!

This restaurant comes highly rated from my daughter. Not this location but the brand in general. What a complete delight it was to dine here this afternoon. I’ve never received faster and more friendly service in my life. All of the food was super fresh and delicious. The portions were so large we took most of it home for dinner and possibly breakfast. Hot and sour soup was on point. By far my favorite. We will certainly be back for another round next time we’re in the area. You should stop in too. You won’t regret it.

In the past the food had been bland at best compared to the Chinese food in the Northeast US. Im happy to say there is a marked improvement. The service could been better. Waitress could have refilled beverages, never made an attempt. She could have asked the guests if they needed anything else. Atmosphere very modern yet had the feeling of a good Chinese restaurant. 12/25/25

Went here with my daughter and we had a great experience. She ordered the bao buns and said they were great. She likes the soup ones more though. I ordered some soup, egg rolls scallion pancakes and chicken skewers. But I’ve also had the crispy spicy chicken. It was all very good. This is more traditional Chinese style and I recommend checking them out.

Awesome dinner at Etang! Service was excellent and the food was the best Chinese I’ve had in a long time. The dry pot shrimp had incredible flavor and a great level of heat. Will definitely be back! One minor heads up, they are waiting on their liquor license so it’s non alcoholic for now. Didn’t matter… The food was that good!

Upon walking into the restaurant there was a bad smell. The restaurant itself looked clean . My husband used the restroom and said it was extremely dirty. We almost canceled our order. We unfortunately stayed. The food was terrible. We tried numerous items including egg rolls, wonton soup, shumai, general Zaos Chicken and cucumber salad. Only the cucumber salad was good. Ww would never go back. A general rule is if the restrooms are dirty so is the kitchen!
