I ordered the garlic shrimp and there’s no garlic in it. It’s just shrimp on top of plain rice and plain french fries I’m so disappointed. I don’t know what happened to this place when Danny was there was good. I don’t know what happened.

This use to be my go to Portuguese spot in central Jersey. Not sure if there was a change in management but the ribs (taste and amount) are not the same nor is the chicken. This establishment fell off. Will not be coming back anymore.

DANNY IS THE MAN! AND THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! I got my half chicken with rice and fries and yes it was finger lickin good. They have nice big portions and the seasoning is just right. Thank you for the great meal will be back soon.

My wife and I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience until recently. The last two times we visited, the service and food quality were not the same. When I walked in and greeted the young gentleman at the counter, he didn’t respond — just gave me a sour look without saying a word. It left a bad impression.
Also, even though we picked up the food within 20 minutes like they said, it was cold and the fries were stale.
We’ve always enjoyed Estrela da Serra BBQ and hope this was just a rough patch. Hoping for a better experience next time.

Ordered on Saturday night around dinner we were told 20 minutes which wasn’t bad.Never ordered from here before and had no idea how big the portions were! We said it was for 4 people so he said the 2 chickens was enough as it comes with rice and fries. We also wanted ribs he told us that’s enough for 7-8 people. The ribs and chicken were both delicious! And their rice is sooo good. The ribs are dry but give sauce on the side. There’s only one sauce though and it’s hot. Definitely will be back!

Perfect option for Keto diet. I ordered the 1/2 chicken, 1/2 ribs platter. Taste was great and I didn’t have to worry about the sauce adding extra carbs. I also ordered the garlic shrimp but I wasn’t a huge fan of that dish. Was a bit too salty for my taste. Long wait time, I guess no one wanted to cook this Sunday lol.

Listen. I have been going to this place for years! We love it here and we’ve ordered trays for multiple family events and just for dinner plenty of times. Today however, my husband went to pick up the food and the man had a terrible attitude. I had also gone a couple weeks ago and he also had a bad attitude with me. I lets it slide because he usually is not like that and we love the food. However, today our food was cold when my husband brought it home and the French fries were stale! This has never happened to us before with this restaurant. The man on the phone said 20 minutes. My husband left 10 minutes after I placed the order and we live 10 minutes away from the restaurant. There is no reason why the food should be cold. It is very upsetting as we come to you guys often and have suggested our friends and family to go to you guys. I will not give less than 4 stars in hopes this is a one off situation. But I hope it changes and the man in the front taking orders changes his attitude.
