My experience at Estrada’s by lakes liquor today was terrible and I will not be returning.
First of all, the service was horrific. When we walked in, the man at the register did not greet us, was rude, and answered the phone in the middle of me speaking. I won’t belabor this point much more, if the food stood up for itself, I could handle poor service. However, the food was even worse.
I ordered flautas and a bacon, potato, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. When I got home and took a bite of the burrito I only got eggs so I decided to open it up to see what was inside. As I expected from the bite, it was basically an egg burrito with a tiny bit of bacon and absolutely no potatoes to be found.
This taco shop used to be great, but I’m not sure what changed and I will not be returning. With how many good taco shops there are in Santee, I wouldn’t recommend that you eat here either.

Haven’t tried the food yet, but the experience with the guy at the counter was BRUTAL!
No “hi”, no “be with you in a sec,” just totally ignored. Dude seems like he HATES his job, I could feel it radiating off him. Finally ordered after standing at the counter for a good while and his energy made me feel SO AWKWARD!!!!
When u got my food, a different guy handed me my order and HE was really friendly!
Will update after having these supreme carne asada fries.
UPDATE: Food was only okay… the salsa was too vinegary and not spicy at all. Definitely not worth $20.

Came after living in Texas for a couple years while visiting my hometown. These people know good Mexican food. The whole family loved it! They even make crunchy tacos… Americanized guac and Mexican style. Fill the plate, worth the prices.

Ordered tacos, they didn’t have the Al pastor…asked for green sauce, they have no green salsa. They used green sour cream instead of guacamole, then called it American. To top it off, at 2:30 pm on Tuesday the 11th…the big girl with the bleached hair was fantastically rude. I will never go to this location nor the other location off Magnolia. Poor Santee,you guys need some real Mexican food. American Guacamole, is that even a real thing?!? Heaven help us. This taco shop has food for people who don’t know what real Mexican food is.

Average at best. I don’t know why this place has a high rating. The cooks are lazy. Meat has no flavor. Tastes like they unpacked the meat and threw it on the grill. And it’s chewy. I only came here because I dropped someone off at the liquor store. Had the carne asada burrito. 13.00 is too much for this low quality unseasoned food.
