I would sadly describe this place as overrated and average. It is definitely not worth the money, yet. The seating needs an upgrade, the chairs are flimsy and do not fit the rest of the interior design. The food was bad or okay. The calamari was served on fava beans, a failed experiment. The greek salad is simply chopped up vegetables on olive oil/spices, nothing to write home about. The lamb was good but the orzo was again nothing special. We did not finish the food, which rarely happens. I know Turkish/Greek food better than most, so this place may appeal to the average American but they need to do so much better with ambiance and the food to please a more selective customer. It is also expensive, but without earning the $$$. The coctails were good. The service was good. Weirdly, their coat rack is hidden somewhere in the back and they do not tell you unless you ask. It is small things like this, they need to focus on and improve.

This place was awesome!! Honestly super authentic and really great food. The portions are on the smaller side but that was well advertised. We ordered the Melitzanosalata (eggplant garlic dip), the Taramasalata (carp roe and potato dip), the Keftedes (pork and beef meatballs), and Giouvesti (lamb shank with orzo pasta).
Honestly everything was incredibly delicious. The dip to pita ratio was a bit low. I would say the highlight of the meal was the meatballs, they were so flavorful and full of spices and would definitely recommend that. The lamb shank and orzo was to die for as well. Never a disappointment food is always delicious. Drinks are on point. This is my go to place on a Friday night. I look forward to it after working all day.! If you haven’t been, I suggest you try it!

I had the pleasure of dining at Estiatorio Fili, and I can confidently say it was one of the best authentic Greek experiences I’ve ever had. From the exquisite ravioli to the perfectly crisp lemon potato wedges, and the irresistible feta dip to the savory meatballs, every dish was a hit. The attention to detail in the flavors was evident with each bite.
What made the evening even more special was meeting the owner, George, who was incredibly pleasant and took the time to personally wish my wife a happy 30th birthday. It’s rare to find such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and George made us feel like part of the family.
The service was impeccable, with Ryan and Ryan in the kitchen and front of the house not missing a beat. Their understanding of the customers’ needs and desires was top-notch, making the entire dining experience seamless and enjoyable.
Providence has plenty of dining options, but if you’re looking for authentic Greek cuisine served by a staff and ownership group who truly care, there’s only one place to go in all of Rhode Island—Estiatorio Fili!

I stopped by with a friend early in the evening on a Friday and peeked in – the interior looked lovely and the posted menu looked intriguing so we ventured in and asked for a table for two. We saw that there was a table for two, outdoor seating, and bar seatiing available and no one seemed to be waiting. It took quite a few minutes but someone finally came to meet us. We asked if we needed reservations and we were told there was one table available but to wait and see if we could be seated. After quite a few minutes more we were flatly and emotionlessly told that some food was running low so we could not be seated or served. We were never asked what we came in for (it could have been simply a cocktail or a small plate or maybe we could have been satisfied with what was available). We felt unwelcome and rejected as if we did not belong there. 7:30 on a Friday evening and no food? We later called Fili and explained the situation and were told that when food gets to a certain point that no one gets seated. And then the person added “If you don’t like it, open your own restaurant!” Call disconnected. So if this is the dining experience you are looking for, Fili is your place.
