Hadn’t been for some time, but they were the only Italian place around kind enough to consider accommodating our large and last minute reservation on a busy Saturday night. Honestly that made me nervous because they were very busy, and I prepared my self for long waits and poor service. As it turned out, I worried for nothing, because service was stellar and provided by a waitress named Danielle who greeted us with kindness, served us promptly and frequently checked on us throughout the meal. So in talking about the meal, it was fully on point. I had gnocchi with meatballs and it was a generous portion with 2 meatballs. Tastewise, IMO you can’t get a better italian meal in the area. We have friends who ordered pasta with clams in a white sauce, and said it was fantastic. Every person in our group of 10 reported that they had a great meal. The wedding soup was great, appetizers great. We will definitely be back and soon. Thanks Esta Esta for a great night.

Came in to get takeout. I was always confused as to whether this place was closed or not, and I’m glad to say they are not. The food was pretty decent overall. I tried out their eggplant parmigiana, wedding soup, and cannoli.

The eggplant park was a bit on the expensive side for the portion. However, it was pretty tasty. They do add a ton of cheese on top, so it’s kind of overpowering. The eggplant itself wasn’t too soggy and had a pretty good texture. Overall, not a bad dish, but nothing crazy. They also included free complimentary bread with it which is always nice.

The wedding soup was also pretty good. It came as a side to the eggplant parm. Good amount of meat, and quite flavorful. This would be nice on a winter day.

The cannoli was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was one large cannoli, which makes it hard to share (and it’s a bit expensive to be just for one person, so eating it is a bit awkward). But, the creamy inside is very tasty, and they made sure the outside stays crispy.

The service wasn’t the best, and I did feel a bit ignored and rushed as I was getting my order.

All in all, I enjoyed this place. It was good, but nothing outstanding. Pretty solid Italian food for the area.

We stopped in yesterday afternoon to see if we could get a table, but booked. The hostesses was so nice and kind. We are booked for Valentines day and we picked a table for that evening and she marked it in the book for us! The restaurant inside was very outstanding. Looking forward to the 14th!

Went for the Thanksgiving buffet. Italian food was good but room temp at best. Turkey was lunch meat quality as well as roast beef. Desert what dessert ? There was one cookie left when I went up. We sat at bar before being seated we were ignored for 5 min before we got a drink. I had Pepsi it was flat!! For what we paid it’s a shame the best part of dinner was the salad!! Next time I’ll just cook!! The staff attitude period was like you were bothering them. Shame we can’t get a refund!!

First time dining in, and we arrived at 530p and there was a couple of tables with others dining.

The specials sounded excellent and I ordered one of them; the wagyu beef ravioli with Marinara. All of the food was excellent! Big portions.

The service was excellent and we ordered a dessert to go.

It was an awesome first experience and we will definitely be back!

After living close to Monroeville since I was a child and having been past this place time and again, I finally decided to take my family to try this place out.

They opened at 4 and we actually planned ahead due in large part to the reviews posted that spoke of how busy this place gets, so we made a reservation the day before.

The ambiance of this place is classic old school Mom and Pop Italian. Mirrors on walls, linen table cloths and even chair covers make dining here a true walk down memory lane. The music playing of Sinatra, Patsy Cline and other greats of a time passed seemed to add to the experience in a very subtle but nostalgic way.

We were seated promptly and ordered an Appetizer of fried provolone cheese. That was the start of an amazing tour for the taste buds! The sauce….from the first taste it took me back to my childhood of classic, all day Sunday kinda sauce! So savory and flavorful and the consistency of it just had me wanting to spoon it directly from sauce dish to my mouth!

The menu here is straightforward. Full of classic Italian dishes with sandwiches also available.

The four of us decided on Eggplant parmesean, lasagna, chicken Alfredo and shrimp Alfredo.

The waitress was very pleasant and attentive and brought a basket of rolls and bread for us as we waited for our salads and entrées to arrive.

The breads here – I could have honestly just made a meal of that and their sauce! Soooo fresh and delicious!

The salads were great as well. The house Italian is a basalmic base and I would recommend that for sure!

The entrées arrived and the portion sizes here hearken me back to the old days where you knew that whatever you ordered would likely serve for a lunch meal the next day!

The Eggplant parmesean was fantastic! Highly recommended for those not much for meat.

The lasagna was my choice – and all I can say is it will definitely be among my go to choices the next time I dine here! I ordered extra sauce and that was probably the sole reason I was only able to finish half my meal because I ultimately had too much bread and sauce that filled me up!

The Alfredo (both shrimp and chicken) were creamy and savory!

They do charge an additional 4% if you’re using credit cards to pay but – for the service and the quality of the food here – that is a small price to endure!

We were served by Tracey and the evening Host were all so kind. The food is Spectacular, very satisfying spending money in this establishment. I love an old-fashioned Italian restaurant and this fits the bill. Quaint, smaller restaurant with excellent food, reasonable prices, and good service. The fettuccine and meatballs were delicious. And the chocolate lava cake for dessert was crazy good.

When going in there was nobody to seat me due to they were not busy. I went into the bar and had someone seat me. They were extremely apologetic and were very nice. The waitress was also very nice, attentive, and very polite. The place did have a musty odor but not bad. The wedding soup was flavorful. The bread seemed like it was sitting out all day but not bad. The salad was ok. The sausage stuffed banana peppers were decent. The lasagna was not bad and the portion was small. The meatballs I wasn’t too impressed with. The spaghetti was not bad and it was a decent portion. All in all I wasn’t very impressed with the food. However I was impressed with the wait staff.

Dined here last night with two friends for the first time and I must say it was excellent. The decor is older but that adds to the experience. The waitress whose name I think is Tracey was exceptional. I had wedding soup and lasagna but sampled my friends chicken marsala and shrimp scampi linguine. The green goddess dressing a friend suggested was amazing. We will be back soon. Highly recommend trying this place.
