Let’s start with the star of the show — their bolognese sauce. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s literally the best around. Rich, slow-simmered, perfectly seasoned, and layered with deep, savory flavor… it’s the kind of sauce you think about long after the meal is over. And when you pair it with their garlic knots? Game. Over. Soft, buttery, perfectly golden knots that you won’t want to stop dipping into that incredible sauce. Honestly, order extra — you’ll thank me later.
And we have to talk about the cheese pizza. In a city known for pizza, that’s a bold statement — but EST truly has one of the best cheese pizzas in New Haven. The crust is just right, the sauce-to-cheese ratio is perfection, and every slice delivers that classic, comforting flavor you crave.
Beyond pizza and pasta, their menu is packed with amazing options — crispy wings, perfectly stuffed calzones, and so many delicious pasta dishes that it’s hard to choose just one. And make sure you save room for dessert because their selection is just as lovely as the rest of the menu.
Oh — and for Valentine’s Day? They even offer a sweet heart-shaped pizza that makes the perfect festive (and delicious) date night addition ❤️
Whether it’s a casual weeknight dinner, a cozy date, or a holiday celebration, EST Pizza is always a win.
This place nails what New Haven pizza is all about. The pizza was exceptional – perfectly charred crust with that distinctive apizza style and fresh toppings. Despite a steady stream of customers flowing in late into the evening, the service remained friendly and efficient.
What really impressed me was watching the constant flow of locals stopping by, many clearly regulars. The fact that people are still coming in late at night says everything about the quality. The staff handled the busy pace without missing a beat, maintaining high standards even during the late rush.
If you’re looking for authentic New Haven pizza with great service and that bustling local pizzeria vibe, this is definitely worth a visit.
Texas this place hands down was the best food we had while visiting. We were here for 5 days (because of the snow storm) and we tried alot of different places in the area and let me just say this place hands down was the BEST. We had the Philly cheesesteak pizza BBQ tenders plain wings(super fresh) chicken Alfredo and carrot cake we spent $75 which was well worth it. The staff is super friendly and helpful and patient. The restrooms were super clean. Hopefully my son commits to Yale so I can obviously come back here
