(Plant-baser Reviewer) This place is totally worth the extra few minutes off the highway! Great coffee, great service, easy in and out parking. Ordered an oat milk latte and it was delicious. Kudos to this coffee shop! Will definitely stop here in the future.

They advertise on a billboard on the sde of the freeway. The downtown area is very very quiet. The coffee shop is together with a gift shop and jewelry store; brilliant ideas. Sandwiches were ok but they had chocolate and brownies that looked very tempting. The panini and sandwiches came with a can of soda and a bag of potato chips. Coffee was good.

This was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made when it comes to choosing a coffee shop. Took 30 minutes by time you get off interstate and then back on. They literally charge $6.40 for a double shot of espresso. Instead order a Capp ($4.25) with extra shot($1) and tell them to hold the milk. Or better yet just keep driving. I’m grateful I didn’t fall for the $6 espresso but did get a shot but it was not drinkable and perhaps they know this and that is why they make it so unreasonably priced to get only espresso as it requires sugar and syrup and cream to even make it palatable … this is a hefty no thank you for me.

This place used to be good (outside of being a little pricey), however as of the last week, we’ve had 2 negative experiences with the same “new” person. Both times, jewelry store employees came to assist, which is fine, except that means 2 different employees saw the same poor quality and let it go out to the customer anyway. The first time I let it go because everyone has been new at some point, but to mess up a simple order like a BLT that you were trained on at least 5 days prior is ridiculous. First, the bread wasn’t toasted. Second, there weren’t even 2 full bacon slices for the entire sandwich, and the bacon was very thinly sliced. One tomato slice for the entire sandwich, and a silver dollar size limp piece of lettuce for each half. I put all ingredients on one half and it was still a pitiful excuse for a sandwich. This is the type of poor quality that will lose customers!!!

I was happy to support local coffee (both the shop and the roaster they source from, Little Cow Coffee)! My family enjoyed the quaint, brick-roaded downtown plus interesting items in the attached kitchen store, jewelry shop, and bookstore nextdoor.

Great coffee, people and gifts. Skip the Starbucks in Hays and stop here instead.

Although they are suffering from the worker shortage problem that all the service industry seems to be suffering from, I was impressed by everything else in this coffee shop/deli. The owners are not to blame for the slow service in that both of them were working hard trying to keep up with the customers. Every aspect of the food was excellent and the two people holding down the fort were very friendly. There is a very nice kitchen gadget and supply shop attached to the dining area. The seating is nice and the atmosphere is laid back. I approached it all with a relaxed mood and did not let the wait get to me. It was well worth the wait. I picked up some infused olive oils from a vast selection of flavors which are available to sample. These are new to me and I was very impressed with their flavor.
