Last minute food needed to feed 10 for a birthday celebration. Although delivery is not an option, this place was only a 15 minute drive and were able to have the everything we needed ready to go! The lady on the phone who took the order was very friendly and helpful. We ordered a little bit of everything and the prices were good for the portion sizes. Everyone seemed to have enough to eat and we had a few left overs.
The food was pretty good but I think some of the food could’ve had more flavor and the “fatty brisket” had more fat than it needed. Although, If we were in a crunch again, we would order here! Maybe next time, we will visit the restaurant (bc, food is usually better when it’s not carry out).

Ok first of all we’ve passed by this place for years and I’ve wondered how good the food might be so we looked at the reviews and seen nothing but good reviews so we finally decided to stop in and try it out and will never go back my wife and I both got the Tuesday special loaded baked potatoes with a side of Mac and cheese and side of what they call peach cobbler and 2 supposed to be stuffed jalapeños and for starters the potatoes barley had any meat and barley any cheese on them my wife’s chicken was over cooked and dry almost like jerky the Mac and cheese had a awful after taste and the jalapeños had a burnt taste and barley had any stuffing in them! Oh and don’t get me started on the peach filled bread that only had 2 peach slices in that bowl in the picture I grew up on true peach cobbler my hole life and I’m 39 there is only supposed to be a top crust with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top but there’s has mainly crust with a thin layer of peaches in the middle and it cost us $45 for us 2!
We will not be back and to the people leaving good reviews yall need to clean yalls pallet and go taste actual quality food before leaving reviews lmao!!!!!!

I’ve driven by this place for years not thinking much of it. One day I decided to stop in for lunch and boy was I surprised. It’s a quaint small town bbq joint that has a nostalgic vibe of the late 90s/early 2000s which adds to its charm. I had the Tuesday special of a loaded potato; pictured below (I chose the brisket). The cost to amount of food ratio is great. And the quality of the food was amazing. I will definitely be coming back

We drive through Athens often and made it a point to stop here recently. The brisket was tasty and filling as were the green bean and okra sides. My partner had turkey and stated it was juicy and flavorful. They liked the sides of mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Nice staff. Ample seating. Lots of room. Very enjoyable.

I’ve passed this restaurant many many times and finally decided to give it a try. It was the best brisket I’ve ever had. Melt-in-your-mouth tender with an incredibly tasty rub. My husband said the sauce was good too but I didn’t need it. The sides were also really good.

Best secret around! The wraps are huge and taste phenomenal! The brisket, turkey and chicken are so tender and seasoned well. The side dishes are amazing, too. At first the price might appear high, but once you see how humongous the wraps are and how delicious everything is, you know you got a great deal indeed. The place is simple, but don’t let that fool you. The owner/chef knows how to make you feel that you are her favorite customer. My family loves going to eat at E&S BBQ, truly.

I hadn’t visited this restaurant since it was Happy BBQ before the Coronapocalypse, and as I expected, there have been some changes over these past five years or so, including a new dining room, a new name and a change in ownership.
But I’m pleased to report that the changes have predominantly been neutral to positive. While the tidiness of the Dining Room tables could stand more timely attention and the dining areas — indoors and outdoors — could benefit from an added table or three, the cuisine itself is all the same rich, rustic quality that we Texans treasure, as is the polished rancher’s decor.
My server informed me that the Walton Burrito (which was not yet on the menu for my last visit) is their most popular entrée, so I was quick to order a Walton Burrito for myself, and happily, it did not disappoint; stuffed with barbecued beef, baked beans, zesty sauce and your picks from a modest variety of extra ingredients (including sliced jalapeños, red onions and white onions), the large Walton Burrito, packed with such rich and hearty ingredients, is a meal in itself!
E&S BBQ, far from even the nearby cities of Canton and Athens, could always use more customers, and I can promise that it’s well worth the drive. I shall make a point of returning in the future. Thank you for the satisfying lunch, E&S!

Excellent BBQ at a good price. I got a beef plate for $17.31 including tax. Lots of sides to choose from. I even got mushrooms which were very good.

Passed by this little place several times and never stopped but today it was raining ND close to lunch so we decided to stop. We a so glad we stopped the food was great, I had the pulled pork and my partner had the sliced brisket, both sandwiches were Hugh more than we could eat. Definitely recommend you to stop in and just relax and enjoy a BBQ sandwich
