Delicious skewers, can’t believe this exists in Hoboken!
I got chicken wings, thighs, gizzard, breast, knee, and pork belly. I loved them all but if I have to choose top 2 they would be the wings and the pork belly.
The owner/chef also add unique sauces to each skewers like spicy bbq or honey ketchup!
Owner/chef was also super friendly talking to everyone and getting to know his customer as well as bring out the food to where you stand.
Please help support so that we can have him as our local staple forever in Hoboken/Jersey City and don’t have to go into NYC or Flushing.
He also takes order on Instagram if you don’t want to wait in line and come pick up your order quicker.

Some of the best yakitori I’ve ever had. The ingredients taste fresh, the chicken thighs were incredibly tender, and both those and the zucchini/eggplant were seasoned well. Nothing was overly salty or sauced. It’s comparable to what you would get from a restaurant in Japan. Justin has excellent customer service and knows what he’s doing! I will definitely be back.

The fact I can get 3 skewers of straight chicken breast grilled in 5 min for $15 with a little dab of three types of sauce (I like the wasabi for the kick) as soon as I step off the ferry is incredible
My boyfriend got a combo of chicken oyster fillet and breast in his combo which also looked great.
Good value, menu, and service

This yakitori stand is truly amazing. The chicken skewers were cooked and served perfectly, and it’s such a comfort food on a freezing windy afternoon. We went to another renowned Michelin starred yakitori restaurant exactly a night before we had Erotori (this yakitori stand). The food we had here is comparable with or even better than the Michelin starred restaurant (with 1/10 of the price). This place is real. It has the real yakitori spirit just like how it’s started in Japan. Served from the street to the general public. No fancy stuff but truly delicious food. We love it.

Hands down better than almost all NYC yakitori.
Recommendations:
– Chicken Oyster
– Chicken Wings
General Comments:
– Although it takes a while, it’s clear that the time is used to deliver quality.
– Perfectly cooked skewers with smokey flavor.
– I was afraid the chicken might be raw because the skewers are thick, but no, they were thoroughly cooked AND juicy.
– The mushroom and chicken thigh skewers were also great but the other two I recommended were even better.

Been craving yakitori for the longest time but many places charge way too much for what it is – simple sticks of japanese style bbq sticks. Enter Erotori! It’s a simple cart with a simple menu but the quality is outstanding. Really delicious yakitori sticks at reasonable prices. I got the tasting set which had 3 meat sticks and a veggie with rice and added a mushroom. Everything was delicious and my only complaint is that I wish I ordered more! Will definitely be back! Normal hours are 1-7 (or until sold out) but follow him on Instagram because sometimes his hours change. When I went he put a notice on his IG that he would be opening at 2pm and by the time he was set up with coals hot it was about 230pm so do plan accordingly. Expect a line and a wait if you don’t arrive first thing but I do believe his yakitori sticks are worth the wait.

This is easily some of the best food I’ve had in the whole NYC area and definitely the best yakitori I’ve ever had. Each skewer was uniquely seasoned and delicious. Getting food here and sitting by the water to eat it is a perfect experience. Also the Hey Yogurt is right next to it, so it’s easy to get a yummy drink/dessert with the meal! Erotori does also offer a mochi dessert I’ll be sure to try next time

I always hoped for an excellent yakatori spot near Hoboken – never would have guessed it would be a dedicated chef working over red hot coals in front of the Starbucks on Newark. Bless this man.
I ordered 2 mushroom skewers & one chicken. Was VERY VERY good. Like, I haven’t had skewers this good since hitting up that Michelin star Yakatori spot in the city (I do hope they still exist, its been a while).
Admittedly, I’ve passed by him MANY times before making a purchase. I was always either on my way to a lunch with someone in the city or on my way back from one. This time, funnily enough, I was coming back from having handrolls at a nice place. You’d figure I’d be Japan’d out – nope – there was capacity and I had put it off long enough. Was very much worth it. Don’t make the same mistake I did, just go for it.
It does take time for him to do his magic – he suggested in the future that I could get the order going in advance by sending a message on Instagram. Will take him up on that next time – especially when it’s freezing out.

Amazingly juicy chicken, the chicken oyster (hip) are a must-try, with a crispy skin on the outside with the yuzu paste!! The chicken breast was surprisingly juicy as well, and goes well with the dab of Wasabi on top!

Some of the best Yakitori I’ve had in the Tri-State area. The cart is ran by a friendly chef named Justin who used to work at Tori Shin (a Michelin-starred Yakitori spot in Hell’s Kitchen).
He cooks the chicken carefully over Japanese binchotan charcoal and has a great selection of options to choose from.
Fantastic food at a fantastic price. I’ve been coming here for quite some time now and I’ll be around as long as Justin is around. Try it!
