As a thriller and romance author, I appreciate places with atmosphere and strong views, and Ernie’s Steakhouse has both. I’ve eaten here many times over the years, and I always enjoy coming back.

The deck overlooking the valley is spectacular. Sitting outside with that view adds a whole different layer to the meal, especially in the evening. It’s easy to see why this place has been a longtime favorite in Lewiston.

Inside, the restaurant is spacious, and I often choose to sit in the bar area. It has a relaxed feel while still keeping the classic steakhouse atmosphere. The staff has consistently been attentive and professional without hovering.

The food has always been solid. I usually order the cheese and snack plate for dinner, and it’s more than enough. Generous portions and dependable quality every time.

Ernie’s combines good food, strong service, and one of the best views in the valley. It’s a place I genuinely enjoy returning to, whether I’m unwinding after a long writing day or meeting up with friends.

When in Lewiston, go to Ernie’s. The prime rib lived up to the hype and was perfectly cooked. Recommend the cowboy beans too, they are awesome. The staff was friendly and attentive. Pay them a visit and support a local hometown steakhouse.

We had not been into Ernie’s for sometime. I had heard it was under new ownership and what a game changer! Food was excellent, timing was perfect. Service was phenomenal. Rachel was great, highly recommend getting her for your server if you can. After our dining experience last night, we will definitely be back!

Had lunch at Ernie’s Steakhouse. Wow was it good! I had the steakhouse burger. The combination of blue cheese and apricot preserves sounds so weird but it is absolutely mouth watering. They put on a big slab of bacon, and top it with deep fried jalapeños It’s so good… the whole thing is served between a soft beautiful brioche bun. There are several sides to choose from, I had the baked potato. When in Lewiston don’t miss Ernie’s Steakhouse.

I recently visited Ernie’s Steakhouse in Lewiston, and the ambiance was just right for a relaxing meal. The dim lighting gave it a cozy feel, and the employees, dressed in all black, looked clean and professional. The booths were comfortable, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. One unique touch was the adjustable table lighting with three dimness settings—a nice feature, but at times a little distracting.

The menu was simple and easy to understand, not overwhelming, yet it offered a wide variety of dishes. One of my new favorites? The poutine fries—a delicious Canadian dish I hadn’t tried before. The hot wings were flavorful, though the portion was a bit small.

I didn’t realize it was happy hour, but that worked out great because we got to try four different appetizers! Another highlight was the freshly made bread and what I assume was freshly whipped butter—absolutely yummy.

For the main dishes, I had a BLT, which was good, but (as usual) not enough bacon! My sons ordered the half rack of ribs and a pork steak, both of which came with two sides—a great bonus. Overall, there wasn’t a bad dish on the table—everything was mouthwatering.

Service was also great. Our waiter (wish I remembered his name!) was knowledgeable and kind. I didn’t check the restrooms this time, which I know is a restaurant rule of thumb, but based on the rest of the experience, I’d expect them to be well-maintained.

One more win? The happy hour pricing helped me save a little on the bill, which I truly appreciated!

Would I return? Absolutely. Cozy vibes, delicious food, and solid service—Ernie’s Steakhouse is definitely worth a visit!

I tried their holiday special. It was a chicken dish with cranberries and sweet potatoes and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. We also had a very large group as we were there with 4 boys who had graduated plus their families, the waitress handled the large group with ease.

Ernie’s has really stepped it up! I understand they are under new ownership. The food has greatly improved. The wait time was a common complaint but that doesn’t seem to be an issue anymore. The resturant has been remodeled, not a big change just some slight changes and upgrading very nice. The wait staff has been well trained, extremely nice and just the right amount of presence. My wife and I had the Steak Marsala, I highly recomend it. Been there several times for lunch as well. All the wraps are amazing as well as the salads. The bar has also stepped it up. We will be back many times.

I have mixed Reviews, for my 2 visits there. The first time was an absolutely perfect young lady waited on us, and my hamburger was the best thing I’d ever eat in my life. Second time it was a grouchy, dumpy, middle-aged woman who really pretty much ruined the dinner. The food was not very good. The Fish and Chips were tough and dry and flavorless. And the waitress never came around to ask if we wanted another drink or even checked on us.The bar is very pretty.

Well the service was good. The ribeye was not cooked correctly and had to be re cooked and it was very tough for a ribeye. The both had a split seat with stuffing coming out. Thank goodness that the staff was very good and attentive or I would have been very upset.
