Delicious Mexican food that is a step above the rest. Taco Tuesdays are legit! Pics are here that we ordered on TT for lunch. Carnita, Steak and El Pastor street tacos were all incredibly delicious and full of meat and cilantro/onion and only $2.99!
Crispy Beef tacos were also amazing and they have great fries. We’ve had many other dishes here and none of them have ever disappointed. Highly recommended and hope everyone supports this sweet spot so we can keep it in Henry Co. Kentucky.

I tried a peach margarita, the fresh guacamole, a steak chorizo, a chicken chorizo, a pork, a brisket, and a shrimp taco. I finished with the flan. (Judge another day! I went to eat, drink, and be merry! ) This place did not disappoint, and we are sad it’s an hour away from us! This is the best Mexican food I have ever had, and I am wondering how the tiny town of New Castle got so lucky to score this joint! The ingredients are all great quality and fresh (I was very pleased with the fresh pineapple in the pork taco!) The peach margarita was amazing, as well. The flan was good, and that whipped cream on the side tasted home made! It is hard to choose a favorite! For me, it’s a toss-up between the pork and the brisket tacos! My bf said it was the best lengua taco he has had. Our least favorite was the shrimp taco, but it’s still good. My bf and I both give this place

Ernesto’s Taqueria completely deserves all 5 stars! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional—friendly, fast, and you could tell the staff genuinely cared about the experience we were having.
The food? Absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. You can taste the difference when people take pride in what they serve—and Ernesto’s nailed it.
The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a cozy, welcoming feel that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. You don’t always find that perfect combo of great food and great service, but this place has it.
Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near the area. We’ll definitely be back!
