Felt like eating at home when grandma and mom cook with love. The food here is amazing, our waitress Amy was kind and attentive. They have a large menu with each dish looking better than the one before. If you like authentic Mexican food, check this place out. The Amy Wrap is a smash hit and the jalapeño poppers with shredded chicken. I took some friends here after work and watched the World Cup. The place is well decorated and the music was great too. Looking forward to the next meal with friends here.

Need to drop the prices – $30 for two people for lunch is a bit much even in Columbia. I had the ceviche, my friend had enchiladas. Tasty brisket, fresh ceviche, massive portions of tortilla chips. Friendly staff. Queso Blanco also good.

Good food and quick service with a smile. I didn’t know there was another Ernesto’s so I went in thinking that it was just another Mexican joint. The staff was very helpful and smiley.
I usually order a tamale just to see how it goes, I was very happy with what I got. The tamales, rice, and beans were very tasty and moist.
After reading some of the other reviews I can see how things could get confusing. However I was in for a late lunch and it wasn’t crowded so I didn’t notice a thing.
The only reason for the 4 Star rating is that it was a little expensive for what I got.

We love the original Ernesto’s restaurant on Route 40 so we stopped by their new fast casual restaurant on Richards Valley Road. We ate in and very much enjoyed our quesadillas. Service was very good and the portion sizes were generous. We will definitely make a return trip.

I ordered Ernesto’s taco bar catering for the office Super Bowl party, and the food and service were outstanding!!! We had so much food and it was all fresh and delicious. Amy and her assistant were so helpful with setting up everything for us. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates friendly service and excellent food.

We ordered take out from here for the first time, and it will definitely be the last. Here are a few highlights of the experience:
1. Arrived 30 minutes after placing the order (per the E-mail confirmation), and had to wait another 10 minutes or so for the order to be ready. During the wait, I saw one of the cooks through the window into the kitchen, and he was handling food with his bare hand (only one had a glove on it and it was the one with the cooking spatula).
2. Despite having just come out of the kitchen, the food was cool (not warm) when we got it home (<5 minutes after pickup).
3. Despite asking twice at the restaurant if everything was there (the bags were tied shut), discovered they left the chicken out of the “Chicken mole with brisket taco plate”.
4. Ordered the $3.25 side of avocado which was 3 very thin slices of avocado, which was way overpriced.
5. The food quality was terrible. The other chicken entree was very plain/unseasoned, with the only flavor being the cheese on top. The salsa tasted almost like cold, plain tomato sauce. The “nachos” that were part of Ernesto’s Combo appetizer were just 4 tortilla chips with a couple of pieces of diced chicken and cheese on top. Overall, this was some of the worst Tex Mex food I’ve had in a long while, with Taco Bell being included in that comparison.
I would not recommend Ernesto’s Mexican Grill. The food quality was poor, the service was marginal (the place was not busy at all, so it’s not like they had to juggle a lot of people), and the price for what was provided was far too high. There are definitely better Mexican restaurants in the area.

Been here multiple times in the past and the food was great, prepared and assembled with what i would consider love. Last few times I’ve been back, the food has become lackluster, as well as the quality of preparation. The female staff has been quite bad and careless. Food was not good. Basically threw the ingredients “on” the tacos. I put “on” in parentheses because barely any ingredients made it inside the tortilla, but into the container the tacos were in. Very careless and sloppy. Will not return. Not as pleasant as they once were.

I decided to try this restaurant yesterday, since I was in the area dropping off my eyeglasses in the same shopping center and I can honestly agree with all of the one star reviews! Food was WEAK! The chicken in my chimichanga was old, the shrimp in my taco’s were cut up into small pieces and the salsa tasted like runny ketchup with a tang to it. The lady at the register was impatient with me because I was undecided on what to order by slapping her hand on the receipt machine…. But I kindly, tapped my hand on the receipt machine and told her, “Don’t do that!” Keep in mind the place was empty! With all the negative reviews, I cannot understand how they actually have two restaurants! In addition, with all the negative reviews here, I have not read ANY RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT! I DEFINITELY, WIL NOT BE RETURNING AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT! CHIDO’S in Laurel, MD is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the area.
