Erie Grill has quickly become our favorite spot to eat in Rochester! Both breakfast and dinner are delicious no matter what you choose and the service is always friendly. Highly recommend!

Everything wonderful, the food, the atmosphere. The bartender was very good, our waitress Lia was spectacular, it was our first time and we will surely return. Highly recommended.

There’s a nice view of the canal. Server was great. Atmosphere was good. In my opinion the meatloaf would be better with a little sear on it. The corn that was served with the meatloaf had bits of silk and husk in it. It was good but a little annoying to find in it. There was also a woman that came by several times that seemed to be checking on tables. She was wearing a dress that I would wear while gardening. It was perplexing.

We spontaneously stopped here for lunch while we were out riding our bikes on the canal trail .

My food was pretty good. It was expensive, and it got loud there during dinner, but it’s a nice restaurant. The only real issue was that I asked for my duck without crushed peanuts on top. The waiter asked if that was a preference or allergy (it was a preference) but assured me I’d get my meal without the peanuts either way. It arrived with the peanuts on top, which was disappointing after the wait. The double order of spinach my mom wanted with her salmon instead of beets also looked a lot like a single (small) serving, so I think they just didn’t give her the beets and gave the normal amount of spinach.

Our go to restaurant when visiting family in Rochester. There are beautiful views of the Erie Canal from the dining room and bar.

The crab cakes were phenomenal. But everything else was OK. The corn risotto served with the scalllops were grainy and the scallops were overdone. Service was fairly slow that night. Visually appealing, but there were fruit flies that took away from some of the ambience.

Very upscale atmosphere with views of the Erie Canal. On the pricy side. The All American Breakfast (eggs, bacon, potato) was $20. Coffee is $4. Nice experience though and we enjoyed the stop.

On the positive side, the views of the canal were truly amazing and the upscale modern atmosphere was really impressive. The wait staff was also friendly and efficient, which added to the overall experience. However, I wasn’t too thrilled with the breakfast – it was overpriced and nothing special. The prices were also a bit steep for my liking. Additionally, while we were seated near the window, we noticed numerous dead bugs around the sill, as well as on the light fixture above us. For a restaurant that charges such high prices, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness. On another occasion, I ordered the Turkey Reuben and salad which were both excellent. However, the craft beer I got seemed like the keg was a bit overdue for a change, which was a bit disappointing. Despite the mixed experience, I would still recommend Erie Gill for the food and the amazing view, and the mimosas were really good too.
