The food was all made in-house and the freshness made it taste even better.
We had a new server who was learning the menu, but was kind, responsive and welcoming.
We will definitely come back again.
Exceptional Pizza during first visit… went back the second day, ordered Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich which was cold in the inside (like come out of refrigerator). Highlighted to a server. 10-min later we followed up and he informed us that he has brought this to the attention of our other server who is busy (entire restaurant was approx. 20% full and 80% vacant).
“Our” server informed us it was not “her fault”; she served what was given to her from the kitchen. She doesn’t work in the kitchen 🙂
We requested speaking to the chef.
Chef came along and suggested we should stop complaining and that she can make a new one.
Hmmmm…
We requested for the Manager and were told that “she was the manager”.
At this point it was time for us to leave and step out of this experience so requested for the bill.
We were charged for the dish that was returned. We requested it be removed, and was. Net net, 20-minutes of tasteless experience. Much to the contrast of previous evening when the restaurant almost 100% packed and yet we experienced much better service.
I would still vote that this place serves good food (generally). Worth a visit – just go when they are busy and probably have more professional staff in attendance.
Service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer our questions, even offering great recommendations with a smile. If you get the chance, definitely ask to sit by the window—the view of the lake adds something extra special to the meal.
Overall, it’s a solid spot for good Italian fare with a view worth savoring. We’d definitely come back.
Initially, when we went in, I thought we would get a lake side easting outside, but unfortunately, there is no opening at the back facing the lake. So, no lake front lunch or dining. So don’t think just because on the lake you will get a lake view. As we asked outside seating, we did not know it would not face the lake. Anyhow, the table we took, I found that there was a hornet’s nest, next to it.
The servers were all good, courteous, and nice mannered. As it is on the main street, getting a parking spot is out of question. As our hotel was nearby, we had a 10 minute walk to this place and was convenient.
Had the best lobster ravioli dinner here. Every single bite was delicious. I also had bread and butter and Shirley Temple from the Saranac brewed brand. My husband had the chicken Marsala and said his dish was also delicious. Definitely come here for dinner.
There is only one all gender washroom for customers so you might have to wait a bit to use it.
