I went to Erberts and Gerberts on 2/19/26 and had order 6 subs. 2 of them were for my two little boys of which could not eat the subs because the bread was rock hard. I called and reported this to the lady on shift as soon as I opened our subs and her response was that the bread was a little over cooked this morning and we didn’t make new bread and that a manger would call me back. I never received a call back. After a week of not hearing anything back, I then called and requested to talk to management again. Apparently the manager was out because they were in meetings all day and was told I would get a call back. The day passes and I still don’t get a call. I called again and was then told that the manager was out due to medical reason and that she would personally call the owner and have them call me back. Well it has now been a week and a half and still no calls from anyone. Absolutely horrible service and they don’t care about their customers and only care about the money they make. I would not recommend to anyone!

Just went in Today before heading into Work. Sandwich was fine except one thing I think the lettuce was expired because it was sour lettuce when it expires gets sour I ate 1/2 the sandwich tasted weird but I was like maybe it’s my taste buds right so I walk away and I’m doing stuff and I come back to the second portion and I bite into this sandwich and it was completely sour. Had to throw away the other half. Please check your lettuce. And also, I don’t think they put avocado on it. I asked if there was don’t mind avocado I like it so but I’m not gonna give them a low review because I respect workers that work in the food industry.

Sandwich was terrible. Lettuce and avocado not edible, the single cucumber slice is old and rubbery. Broccoli and cheddar soup is chunky, like it was the scrapings of the dried stuff on the sides of the pot from the day. Basically 11.50 for a piece of bread with mayo by the time I pulled it apart.
Not to mention acting like coming in for takeout 30 minutes before close is out of line.
I’ve worked in food service forever, none of this is acceptable.

Unfortunately a horrible visit. They were out of nearly everything we requested (macaroni, rotisserie chicken, turkey, cheese) at 1130 AM and we were given a soup we didn’t ask for and had paid for without notifying. Every single sandwich had a least 1 hair in it and the soup we found 4. Mayonnaise was smeared all over the wrappers and bag.
Every time we’ve ordered there is something wrong or sandwiches missing. This time was the last time we’ll be ordering/eating at this place. Ludicrous pricing for services received.

I’ve always loved this location in particular, however today the sandwich I had was extremely sloppy and sad. $40 for 2 sandwiches and a soup, I didn’t even get my drink. I’m not one to leave reviews or care because I have worked food industry a lot, however this was just a sad way to start my day.
Edit – They ended up getting a hold of me and fixing it, so from one star to four stars.

This used to be my favorite sandwich shop. I have never seen a sandwich that had less in it. There was barely any meat and the veggies were scarce. I added chips and a drink for the insulting price of almost $16. Not only that, the sandwich had a BBQ sauce on it that was NOT listed in the description. From what I can tell, this unwanted BBQ sauce was the only ingredient added in a good amount. Completely and utterly dissatisfied. The employees were great though.

I’ve read great reviews about the gluten free options at this place but Ive been in there twice now and both times they have been out of gluten free bread. The problem is that this is not just a bread “flavor” choice. For some of us we cannot just choose a different option.

Decided to try this place when up here for a sports event as we attempted to go to five restaurants in the area, and all were booked with a 45-minute+ wait time. We saw this when trying to find a place; it looked like an off-brand Firehouse, so we tried it. We got food to go, including two subs and a broccoli bowl. The food was gross—high in sodium, extremely processed, and tasted like pure salt. Not what you want from a brisket sandwich or a broccoli bowl. I took two bites of each and tossed them.

The sandwich was made sloppy, the guacamole was a mess, that’s all I could taste, I could only eat a few bites, the looks of it made me lose my appetite:(. I have to say though, this is the first time this happened, I’ve usually had wonderful experiences here, and great food.

Completely messed up my order today, forgot drinks and received wrong subs. Had a little trouble with the “manager making things right”. The lady who remade my order was awesome. Felt bad because she had to remake the whole order for free since the morning crews mistakes.
